Chapter 4 - Drama

1 year later~~

A vibrant array of flowers creates a cheerful and serene atmosphere in a large courtyard. While bees buzz from one blossom to the next, the sweet fragrance of lavender and roses fills the air, creating a pleasant scent. Tall trees cast cool shadows over some of the chairs, creating an ethereal and peaceful atmosphere.

A young boy, no more than a year old, was seated on one of the chairs. His stunning white hair was pulled back in a small ponytail, and his captivating eyes were a deep shade of red, making them both dangerous and endearing.

The boy looked like he was in some deep thoughts

It had been a year since I had arrived in this world, and much had changed. Rumors began to circulate throughout the kingdom that I am not the king's child.

Given my dissimilar appearance to the royal family, I didn't hold any grudges against them for spreading rumors. My father, on the other hand, was enraged.

Father was about to issue a royal decree to shoot down the rumors but mother intervened, saying that the rumors were just attempts to smear the royal family and that if we act impusly they will get an agenda to start a revolt against the royalty.

Well, she was correct; if the issue was not handled delicately, it could blow up and consume the royal family, but the response slowed significantly due to the fear of revolt.

So the drama went on. Fortunately for us, and unfortunately for them, one of their faction members directly confronted the king about my legitimacy.

when I heard about it from the maid's gossip I literally laughed my ass off like really confronting the king and top of that as a lowly baron? really that was the funniest shit I ever heard.

And that guy didn't stop at just at me he even dragged the queen saying she slept with another man.

hah~

well, the matter got straight to hell at that point and the baron was executed along with his family for shaming the royal family and a royal decree ensued across the kingdom about the legitimacy of me.

The royal decree can be summarized in a few words defame = executed.

Things quickly became frantic after that, with protests occurring but being quickly suppressed. The fortunate thing was that the likelihood of a revolt occurring decreased dramatically.

If the opposing faction had played the card correctly, the outcome would have been completely different, but everything collapsed because of a single person.

And the king was given the opportunity to eliminate the agenda without fear, using the excuse of shaming the royal bloodline without any evidence. So everything worked out for Father.

After the entire mess, palace servants and the public began to be cautious when using their mouths for fear of being beheaded.

Anyway, I knew what fate this world would face soon, and it would be better to be strong than weak, especially since magic is too appealing.

So, determined to be strong, I began reading some books in the library, and for how I was going to get there, I devised a fantastic plan with no chance of failure.

I cried.

Yes, I'd cry a lot. When the maid noticed me crying, she attempted to console me, but I refused to stop. The maid was forced to call my mother, but I still didn't stop crying, as such mother carried me around the mansion in the hopes that I would stop crying.

After seeing that my first part of the plan was successful, I moved on to the next part, which was finding the library, and to my luck, a servant was coming out of the library when we arrived.

When I saw the servant leave the library, I burst into tears and pointed my finger at the door. My mother carried me to the library when she noticed my finger pointing there.

And that completed the second part of the plan. For the third part, whenever I wanted to go to the library, I would start crying loudly, so the maids would take me there for an hour...

After all that trouble, I began spending my time in the library double-checking that everything was identical to the novel and filling in the gaps in my memory.

After that, I began forming my mana core, but after a few attempts, I realized that it wouldn't work; I can sense mana but can't move them; it was as if you needed to move but forgot how to control your hands and feet.

After all, I'd never used mana, let alone ki, like Arthur, so seeing my lack of experience, I devised a different but simpler method....

Breathing

Yes, that was it. Sensing the mana was a bit difficult, but I didn't give up because I knew this method would work.

What made me so certain?

Because as I began to meditate to sense the mana, I noticed that the mana was approaching my nose.

So, if mana can be sensed, all you have to do is meditate, and when you sense mana, just focus on breathing, and the mana will automatically enter through your nose.

So I stored my mana inside my chest, and as a result, my mana pool grew significantly, and I felt as if my veins were filled with mana.

Because my mana pool was greater. When I awakened, a servant who was standing near me in the library was blown off to the other end....
