'Maybe it's just me; somehow, there's something strange about Allen recently,' Felicia thought that morning.
It had been gnawing at her since the end of the Arcaneblade competition. When they met outside the faculty room, Allen's gaze held a subtle difference, an intensity that he looked at her more often.
After the enchanter faculty's post-competition gathering, Felicia intended to join Allen and their friends. Yet, outside the faculty room, she discovered Allen patiently awaiting her arrival.
"Shall we head home?" he softly proposed.
On the way home, she repeatedly engaged Allen in conversation. Felicia enthusiastically shared numerous tales about the competition, but Allen's responses were measured. Instead, his eyes lingered on her face, occasionally accompanied by a smile.
