Augustus Livius Caesar had once been a nameless slave, now suddenly elevated to the status of the military prime minister's son. Even he had no understanding of how he had arrived at that church. It was rumored that he was merely an orphan, raised by the church with no memory of his true origins. His life had been a series of tragedies, marked by the horrors of sexual abuse within a church branded as heretical.
