Inside the Barkaley residence, in his office, Veldon Barkaley was looking at Felicia who walked out of his house alone wearing peasant clothes. She did not look like someone who had run away. Instead, she greeted the soldiers guarding the Barkaley residence.
Curious, Barony inquired of his daughter, Jane, seated beside him and assisting with his duties, "What endeavors has Lady Felicia undertaken?"
"She said she got a job at the bar in the main district," Jane replied.
"Are you out of your mind?!" exclaimed Barony, his shock evident in his raised voice upon hearing Jane's word. "You just let the daughter of Earl Boldenville wander the city alone? And work in a seedy establishment like a bar?"
