"Are you going to ask me to leave the party?" Zeena inquired as soon as she realized her disguise was ineffective.
She retrieved a knife powered by her mana, a weapon intended for silencing anyone aware of her secret. Despite possessing such a weapon,
Zeena had never taken a life.
But Zeena still hadn't killed anyone.
With no opportunity to harm anyone and the impossibility of targeting Allen, there was no way she could kill Allen, who was Mother Laveya's intended target.
So she contemplated ending her own life by placing the blade against her neck.
Then Allen replied.
However, Allen's response halted her actions. "I can't possibly do that," he stated, causing the knife he held to pause just at the surface of his skin.
Allen stopped and turned to Zeena. Zeena quickly hid the knife back.
"If I do, there's no guarantee you won't target anyone around me."
