Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

Chapter 1

In a distant future The timeline drastically changes technology, culture, and societal norms.

In the year 2154, human has perfected the technology of time travel,

Space scientists, engineers and astronauts work together to explore the universe from one part to another, gaining insight of things never known to humanity, and planets far beyond what was known to the human race; the exploration took weeks, months, and even years. Expanding control of time and space, making provisions for the planet and discovering different sources of power and energy force, ranging from one timeline to another.

The First man who discovered this was Sir Lucas Wealth, a well known scientist whose aim was to improve the living conditions of the human race. He and his team worked hard to improve the conditions of humans, from medicine to agriculture.

Also leading to the rapid development of many time machines and space travel machines. People feared the outcome of such a daring experiment creating the Avalorian. To monitor and regulate time trave., The Avalorian, an advanced temporal agency, is established, employing elite Temporal Agents trained to handle time disruptions and anomalies.

These agents were sharp and had an above 255 IQ making them few in number but their work was efficient, as they monitored and regulated the time travel missions. As time went on, most of the Avalorian slowly fell into the well of curiosity, seeking more knowledge of the unknown.

As a result of their increasing knowledge and revolutionary discovery they seem to forget that the fabric of time is fragile, and meddling with the past, present and future can lead to catastrophic consequences.

A space Doctor, Slivia Grey, was checking the health of her patient, who seemed to have gone into shock for two days after coming out of a time portal, no one understood the situation as the young astronaut could not report on was happened in his mission, no one knew if it was a failure or success.

The doctor seemed annoyed by her increasingly difficult position as more people from the time portal also went into shock after coming back to reality, unable to explain what happened.

"Doctor there's another patient…!" A young nurse exclaimed as two men pulled in another unconscious astronaut in a stretcher.

"Look…! if people are going to keep going into shock from the time portal, I suggest a break"

"We're on the verge of making a new discovery that could change the human race for the better and you are advising us to take a break…! look woman, your job is to treat these people not to give unwanted opinions that are unnecessary…" One of the astronauts rebuked, grabbing his colleague by the shoulder, as they both left the dumbfounded Doctor trembling in her spot.

"Ma'am are you alright…?" The young nurse rushed to her side, noticing her gashly pale face.

"Ma'am I think you should rest, your condition does not require you to do such stressful work all day long" The nurse said, helping her to sit.

"It's been seven months now and my baby will be fine, don't worry about us…" She said gently placing her hand on her bulging belly.

"I took on this job to afford to take care of my child, It didn't mean to take your position, after he is born, I'll quit, then you can take back the position of the chief physician in this space station". The young Doctor said with a smile

"I know you said it almost everyday" The young nurse chuckled. The two were immersed in their teasing, for a moment they failed to notice an unconscious astronaut awakened and trembling in fear and guilt.

Two hours later

The astronaut knelt before the panel, consisting of the chief physician, chief scientists, chief Engineer and chief Avalorian. He immediately bursted out into tears pulling at his hair.

"It's all gone…everyone is gone…everything we worked for is gone…!" Everyone understood the severity of the situation seeing a full grown man burst into tears like a child.

"What happened, what's gone…?" Everyone was stunned.

The young astronaut on his knees began to stammer, mumbling to himself repeatedly, when he suddenly yelled in tears

"The Earth is no more…!"

Everyone gasped.

"What did you say…?"

"The Earth is gone…, It disappeared, it's not on the raider, it's not among the planets…It's…it's…" The man stammered.

Silence filled the whole room.

Suddenly an Avalorian agent rushed into the room apologizing for his intrusion, as he hurriedly played a transmission call on the wide screen.

"Greetings everyone, I'm agent Stephanie from Avalorian, I'll like to extend my greetings to everyone watching this and wish everyone safe travels, but recently, there have been strange phenomenons since machine 194 was activated to help astronauts, tele…port home at will, at first this was unnoticed, or more likely ignored. But later, it weakened our communication system, distancing the flow of connection. On day 294 of the activation of machine 194. Countries of the earth began disappearing one after the other, with no trace, like they never existed and people began to forget one another, in short Chief…? I pray you deactivate the machine as soon as possible before everyone vanishes from the earth. I don't know when this message will reach you, but I pray it's not too late…" the call automatically disconnected leaving a blank screen.

At this point everyone had gathered in the room, on hearing the message they were of course panicked and scared.

"Sir please may I go and check on my family…"

"Sir I need to be with my mom, she's been ill for a long…"

"Sir please…"

"Shut up…! it's already too late…!" Everyone's attention was drawn to the cry man on his knees.

"When did you receive this message…?" The chief Avalorian asked the agent that played the video on the screen.

"Sir…an Hour ago, the meeting was taking too long so I decided to show it to you…do I have your permission to deactivate the machine sir…?"

"No need, everything is already gone"

Someone gasped, almost falling to his knees.
