A traveler walks towards a sign board and looks at it which reads 'Welcome to Mist Cavern' he looks on ahead at the road and then continues his walk into the village.
"Which road leads to the forest?" he inquires with a villager who was passing by.
"Go straight up ahead and request for a mini-van at the Mahogany Inn they will drop you
off at the entrance of the forest."
"Ah! Thank you!" he says making his way to the Inn mentioned before. After making
necessary arrangements he prepares to leave. En route he takes in the surrounding of the
village, the village was practically built in caves and the cloudy atmosphere that didn't
allow sunlight to permeate through, gave a misty appearance to the landscape.
The mini-van stops at the entrance of the forest and the traveler gets off and begins to walk
up ahead. "You sure you don't need a person to accompany you?" the driver inquires then
continuing he says "there are reports of people missing".
"Its fine thank you" he simply replies making his way into the forest, the forest had tall
trees on either sides of the forest path; small yellow flowers covered the forest bed. While
walking he chances upon a woman sitting on the side of the forest path, closed eyes she
leaned against the trunk of a tree. Her eyes open weakly as she sees the traveler before her.
"Please….help...me" she intercedes to him He noticed that she was bruised, her hair was
messed up and dirt stained her skin, her clothes were tattered and soiled. He walked up to
her and picked her up. The woman fainted and then suddenly her body began to convulse
as her breaths deepened, a gnarl escaped her mouth revealing a long slimy tongue. The
man frightened by her sudden movements dropped her to the ground, taking a step back
his eyes grew wide into saucers as he gaped in horror at the woman before him. He
couldn't believe his eyes for the woman he saw a while ago began to change, her skin
peeled off her body on its own which was replaced by scales and two huge horns protruded
from her head. The woman wasn't in human form anymore, she had clearly transformed
into a monster, a pair of black wings broke free from its back, crooked scaly legs, and
crooked long fingers revealing sharp claws it looked up into the air and gnarled loudly.
Before the traveler could process what he was seeing the winged monster struck out its
long slimy tail and wrapped his body pulling him closer. It squeezed the man's body and in
a few seconds a white foggy smoke emitted from the prisoner's body, slowly the man's
body began to darken and dry up until his body was nothing but a dry husk which
crumbled into dust and as the monster pulled its tongue back into its mouth the man's body
withered away into the wind. A while later black smoke covered the monsters body and as
the smoke clears away it reveals the same traveler but this time a sly smile forms on his face and his eyes flicker and roll back and forth in all directions. The man stretches, sounds of bone cracking vibrate into the air, he simply walks back into the direction of the village looking for its next victim.
Meanwhile in Haven Town in a certain school the teacher gathered her student's attention
to her.
"Well as you all know like every year there will be a school trip and it will be held next
week" Upon hearing this the whole class resounded with 'yeah and yippee' to which the
teacher immediately reprimands them ordering them to maintain silence then she
continues' "Everyone is expected to submit their permission slips by tomorrow, without it I
will not include your names in the list"
"Teacher! Where are we going for the trip?" Raizo shouts out.
"Yes I'm getting there the place we will be going to for the trip is 'Mist Cavern' the trip will
consists of two nights a day stay which will include a hike through the local forest then
camping at the 'Lone Island'"
The students buzz with excitement but their excitement is short lived as the teacher tells
them to open their textbooks to page no. 26 which was followed by groans and sighs.
"Mist Cavern, Lone Island...wow it sounds adventurous" Dakota tells Blair.
"Yes it does" she replies.
Dakota was too excited already coming up with plans for the trip, little did she know that this trip would change her life forever.
