"Zelen!!! Zelen!!!..."
"Come on Zelen, show him what you are made of!!!"
"Zelen...."
I stood there like a little child who was seeing the world first time. Was he their favorite? Or was he simply this popular? Though the most sad part was, there wasn't even a single soul to support me.
"Come on Lon!!!! you can do it!!!"
Who was that? There is still someone supporting me? I turned towards the origin of that voice. No wonder it felt familiar. It was Livia who tried to cheer me up from afar. She waved her hands while loudly shouting my name. She was always like that. I again turned my gaze towards the crowd hoping for one more supporter. But the moment my eyes met hers, Alice turned her face to the side looking away. Atleast she did gave me a little thumps up. It was hard to even notice.
"Tch.."
I don't know why, but I felt disappointed and annoyed at the same time.
"Are the participants ready?!!"
Zelen, my opponent finally stopped waving to the crowd and noticed my existence. We both signed to start the match.
"Then let the match begin!!!"
I started the match just like before with a strong direct attack using water attribute. But he didn't block and defend it like the other guy. He directly swung his sword towards my attack. The sword had strong fire attribute covering it. It break my attack making the water in to vapour, but it didn't end with that. The fire came towards me with the shape of his sword swing as a follow up. Even if I could see his attack coming from a mile away controlling the mana around my eyes in a special way, I acted like surprised and barely dodged it.
"Phew... that was close"
I said to make my acting more realistic.
"Weak....."
Zelen looked at me said disappointingly.
I got up from the ground and removed the imaginary dust away from my dress. And took a stance letting him know I was ready again.
I paced towards him with the sword in my hands and swung it vertically at him. He dodge it to the side. But then a water ball came towards his head. It was suppose to be a surprise attack. Fire erupted from under his feet like a tornado as he did in his previous match. But it was flashier than before. Needless to say my attack disappeared just like that.
"Why don't you just give up? Your futile attempts are just making me irritated"
"..."
I didn't open my mouth and once again took my stance.
"Fine, I'll end it my self then"
I felt something was wrong and looked towards my left. An earth spike was coming towards me with high speed. By jumping to the right I easily dodged it. But the one also came from there. When I dodged that too, another one came at me. He kept attacking with earth spike continuously. I can see it. He is slowly leading me towards his range. Let's just fall for it now as I don't feel that much threatened by him. As I predicted, When I finally reached his range a fireball was suddenly shot towards me. This time I couldn't even dodge it. I was surrounded by the earth spikes he created. A magic circle formed infront and a water ball was shot at his fireball. They collided at each other creating an explosion. The explosion created a smoke screen that blinded my vision.
Then I saw a sword swing coming at me from that cloud. It was Zelen's surprise attack. I decided to block it using my sword. But it seems like he predicted that too as the sword wasn't clearly aimed at me. The real attack must be the follow up. I raised my sword to block. A small smile was visible a t his face seeing that.
"Huh?????"
"..."
Surprising him, his sword cut my sword like a tofu and passed through it. Correction, I was surprised too. But seeing the opening that left behind, my old instinct kicked in and my eyes glowed. The handle of the sword I was holding glowed in blue and at a top pave water gathered towards where the sword was cut and formed a whip. It was constantly rotating like crazy. My body twisted and and the whip rotated cutting all the earth spears in to two and finally hitting Zelen. He eyes were in shock from witnessing the sudden attack, My attack did a lot of damage. But it wasn't life threatening as the mechanism in the arena prevented death. But he was lost.
The whole arena become silent again. Sigh... Like my mouth I couldn't control my old instincts also. Then I looked at the broken sword piece in my hand. Now that I take a closer look....
"Fu**, its a frickin show piece!!!"
I hope no one saw the ugly expression I made.
When they finally announced the winner I walked away without giving a single glance to the dumbfounded crowd. Then I entered the room for participants. Livia was standing there with a face like she just saw a ghost.
"What's with that expression?"
"What's with that kind of mana control?!! Your last attack wasn't even possible for someone at our level!!"
It has become troublesome as I guessed.
"Oh!! that is thanks to this swords mana circulating stone"
For now I decided to blame it on the sword.
"But the stone was destroyed before that"
"..."
I just noticed now. There was no mana stone present on the handle in my hands.
"Then it must be because of this mysterious sword"
I handed that piece of the sword left to her and ran away from there.
"..."
I could see from afar, Sam was patting her head trying to break her from the confusion.....
