Gerard sat in Victoria's study. Sprite and Addis reflected on the events which Gerard relayed to them. Victoria's body lay under a blanket to not distract Gerard when looking through the assortment of texts that fill the bookcases. Gerard snacked on some cured meat between two slices of freshly baked bread.
"So, how's Rena?" Gerard asked after swallowing his mouthful.
"Some people from the Research Institute have already healed her, and she's staying with her father for a few days," Sprite replied before finishing her own sandwich.
"That's good. Jerrick can keep an eye on her and make sure she's okay."
*Regarding this curse of yours. The elves said that this Vane person can help you?* Addis asked.
"Yes, but there's something I want to sort out first. Let's go."
