Four years later...
"Ena, you need to sign it. Mr. Wilson doesn't get mad at us, or else he won't give shares to our company." I was shocked when I heard what Andrew said again.
I looked at him as if I was bored hearing him say that over and over again.
"Seriously? Is that your famous line Andrew?"
I was annoyed to ask him, but instead of hugging him, he just laughed at me. I, on the other hand, was the one who sniffed and smirked.
"You change the topic again, Ena. You need to sign it. Don't you want to go home to the Philippines? Then, sign it. Otherwise, we will not be able to go home to the Philippines." He smiled in response.
I just took a deep breath and stared at him angrily. I could do nothing but sign those papers.
We will give shares in Mr. Qilson company; in turn, will take care of our expenses when we return to the Philippines and make an appointment with a famous company. The V-club corporation.
I smiled when I thought of that company. After four years, my treacherous cheater husband and I will meet again.
"This is it. You can leave now." I was annoyed to drive him away after I signed those papers.
He laughed again, then spoke. "You don't like him, Mr. Wilson, ah?"
"I don't want to! He was arrogant! Go away! I still have a lot to do!"
He left quickly but with laughter. I was just shaken when I was alone again.
It's been four years. When I was in the hospital, I was here in another country. Andrew treated me here because I could not be treated in the country.
I do not remember the day when I had an accident.
But I remember everything except the day I had an accident with me. According to Andrew, that day, the V-club celebrated its 50th anniversary. And on the same day, I witnessed Cedrick betraying me, so I left and drove my car. That's when I was hit by a big truck.
I just shook. That day is no longer necessary. The important thing is that I can go home to the Philippines immediately to look for Cedrick Villaurel and my two children who are with him.
I remember Cedrick and I 's past, everyone. But all of that is just a lie.
I smile ear to ear when I see the photo of him on my cell phone.
"Will see you soon, Cedrick Villaurel, my dear husband..."
-
Cedrick's Point of View.
"Cedrena! Rick!" I called my two children when I heard what they had done at the school they were studying.
They're eight years old now. "What else did you do at your school?" I asked them calmly as they approached my seat.
"Daddy, we're just playing that time ..." Cedrena whispered while bowing.
My forehead furrowed when I saw what they did. "Cedrena and I just defended ourselves, Dad. They were the first to fight with us!"
"But you need to say sorry tomorrow to them. Did you get the point of what I was saying?" I hate talking to them, but I restrain myself from feeling sorry for them because they will only get used to it when I always side with them even if they are wrong. But this time, I will change. They need to learn from their mistakes.
"Okay, Dad." They spoke at the same time and bowed again.
"Go to your room now..." I ordered them, which they also ran.
I just took a deep breath when they disappeared from my sight.
It was also not easy for me to raise them both alone. Sometimes it is tiring, but I can do it for them and my wife, Ena, who is already in heaven.
I looked at the photo of her on my cell phone. I smiled when I saw her smiling face.
Our memories returned to my mind. The days I was with her, and the days we were both married.
But all of that is just a memory and will never happen again.
I looked at the door when someone spoke from there. I saw Deigo and David.
"What are you two doing here?" I immediately asked them.
"You're serious, bro. Don't you miss us?" Deigo asked me like a child.
"Bro, let's just leave. Cedrick doesn't seem happy that we're here, eh." David added.
I threw a pillow at them from the sofa. But they were not hit. "Did you come here to annoy me again?"
"No, bro, we're just visiting the twins. Ena might haunt us if we don't do that, eh." Deigo answered quickly, which was the reason David beat him.
"Get out of here, you are pure nonsense..." I said, shaking as I lifted the corner of my lip.
"Bro, you know. We want to invite you to chat today. Fresh air, too, when you have time." David raised an eyebrow.
"You've always been as busy as work for four years, and you've also spent some of your time caring for twins. You forgot to take care of yourself." He added.
"Yes, bro. So David and I thought of inviting you out today. After all, it's also the weekend." Deigo suddenly agrees.
"You two are helping me, aren't you?" I asked them angrily.
I'd rather be here at home now than gossip outside. I will not be blessed there.
"All right, bro. Just for us." Deigo still insisted.
I was about to answer them when the cell phone I was holding suddenly rang.
"Hello, Mr. Wilson?" I opened the other line.
"Is this, Mr. Cedrick Villaurel?" he asked.
"Yes, speaking."
"I have an assigned to you, an appointment. If it is okay with you?" he says directly.
"What company is this?" I am interested in what I heard.
"Marq-Cruz Corporation. One of the popular companies in Italy." I nodded even though my interlocutor on the other line could not see.
It seems interesting that the company came to me immediately, even if he just mentioned it.
"Okay, Friday this week... Exactly, 9:00 am. In my company building. I need to see my appointment. Is that clear?" When I give him a schedule.
"This week, already?" Mr. Wilson looks like shocked when he suddenly asked me.
"Yes, that is the only day I am free... Get it or not? I can talk easily, Mr. Wilson." I told him proudly.
"Okay, okay... I get it." He answered immediately.
"Good then. Will, may I know whose my appointers are?"
"Ahm, oh yes. Her name is..."
I was just shaken when the other line was cut.
"Who is that, bro?" David asked me in surprise.
"Mr. Wilson."
"So? How? Shall we go out?" Deigo asked, looking at him.
"Yes, you won't handle me two, eh!"
"That, Cedrick Villaurel! Welcome back, bro!" The two of them shouted at the same time as we were leaving the house.
