Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Academy Cap Champion and Compensation

Earlier, Malfoy arrived at the final destination before Professor Quirrell and Voldemorth. He walked into the last room and approached the Mirror of Eris.

"People who don't want the magic stone can really get it," Malfoy chuckled to himself as he pulled out a stone from his pocket. "I don't lack money, and I don't want the side effects of immortals," he thought, playing with the stone a few times before putting it back in his pocket.

"As for you, Voldemort, you can witness how deep the double illusion is. The mirror and the resurrection stone both show the same scene. That must be very interesting," he chuckled softly before pulling out another stone from his left pocket.

"This thing really burns," Malfoy said as he looked at the resurrection stone he had picked up from the Gunter old house.

"It's a unique achievement to see the person resurrected by it, Voldemort. Thank me," he placed the stone into the mirror.

The Mirror of Eris can bring people who don't want the magic stone to it, and it can also bring people who don't want the resurrection stone to get the resurrection stone. After all, Voldemort and Quirrell now want the former.

"The taste of falling from heaven to hell should be uncomfortable," Malfoy thought as he returned to the bedroom and pretended to study seriously.

As Voldemort took the resurrection stone, he enjoyed a short hallucination before returning to reality as the stone shattered. Even if the Three Sacred Objects can withstand it, it is already very good, but after being handled by someone, it is inevitable that it will break.

Voldemort, as the most powerful dark wizard of today, naturally has the will to resist hallucinations, but these wills are always limited.

Under normal circumstances, he may be able to indulge for more than ten seconds before sobering up, but now he is completely indulging in the meantime. However, within three seconds, the stone shattered, and it would never be the same experience to wake up and passively realize that you were deceived by Voldemort.

The power of the Resurrection Stone seems to be very strong, and even Voldemort's spirit is a little shocked. He finds that his remaining magic power is temporarily unable to exert, even affecting the host of Chilo.

"Quirrell, what did you tell me? Is there a Philosoher stone here?" Voldemort's sharp voice was cold as he wanted to vent his anger, and Quirrell seemed like a good choice.

"Master, I don't know. The stone must be on Potter's body. I will find it if I kill him," Quirrell said in horror. He couldn't imagine the punishment he would receive.

Harry suddenly turn stiff, realizing that something was wrong with his body and could only want to fight back.

Unfortunately, Harry had passed out, and Quirrell grabbed his neck, but there was an unbearable pain in his hand.

"Master, I can't catch him--my hand--my hand!" Quirrell howled in pain as his hand was burned bright red.

"Tom, you really came back," an old voice suddenly came from all around the room.

"Damn it," Voldemort cursed before falling silent.

"No, Master, don't abandon me! I can kill Potter!" Quirrell felt his power slipping away as the person inside him escaped.

His expression became more and more frightened as he didn't know if he was afraid that Voldemort would kill him immediately or if he was afraid of an endless career in Azkaban in the future.

"Stupid guy, bad thing for me," Voldemort tried to adjust his spirit as much as possible. He knew he had to escape, but he never thought that today's events were caused by someone he thought was extremely loyal.

"Dumbledore, you wait, I will come back," he said before leaving in disgrace.

Dumbledore didn't try to stop him.

Perhaps he knew he couldn't, or maybe he knew it was meaningless. However, his muddy old eyes behind his glasses showed a trace of clarity and seemed to be a little surprised.

"It's time to talk to the kid," he touched his nose, which had been interrupted several times, and said to himself. Now the old man's eyes had become amazingly sharp.

---------------------------

There is no difference from the original world line. Everything that happened between Harry and Quirrell in the dungeon has gone wild.

Perhaps some people have been beautified and modified, and most students still believe the official words. As for most students in Slytherin, they find it difficult to accept.

"Draco, I have an ominous hunch," Pansy whispered beside Malfoy.

The grand atmosphere in the auditorium, the school is holding a year-end banquet, and the students of the four colleges have gathered together.

The auditorium was decorated with green and silver, representing Slytherin, to celebrate their winning the Academy Cup for seven consecutive years. On the wall behind the guest table, a huge banner with a Slytherin snake hangs.

"What's wrong, Pansy?" Malfoy asked.

Pansinu nodded and pointed to the door of the auditorium. Harry was walking in slowly. As soon as he entered, the auditorium suddenly became silent, and then everyone began to speak loudly again.

"I feel like this guy will earn a lot of points for Gryffindor. Look at the announcement made by Dumbledore, how partial it was. At that time, I felt that this boy could not be expelled directly from the dungeon adventures," Pansy stared at Harry, as if seeing the enemy of life and death.

"More than that, they are luxury extra bonus packages for four," Malfoy thought to himself, but he didn't feel anything. Whether in his past life or this life, he was a person with no sense of collective honor.

"Then be mentally prepared to see the ugliness of the adult world," Malfoy said as he rubbed Pansy's hair.

"Are we really going to lose?" she asked.

"I didn't say that," Malfoy immediately showed his innocence.

After a while, Dumbledore also arrived, and the noise in the auditorium gradually subsided. "Another year has passed!" Dumbledore said cheerfully.

"Before enjoying these delicious dishes, I must trouble everyone to listen to the cliché of an old man. What a wonderful year this is! Your little brain is sure to be more abundant than in the past. You have a whole summer vacation waiting for you in the past, which will allow you to digest those things before the next semester and make your mind free.

"Now, as far as I know, we must first conduct the Academy Cup award ceremony. The specific scores of each collage are as follows: fourth place, Gryffindor, 312 points; third place, Hufflepuff, 352 points; Ravenclaw 426 points, Slytherin 492 points."

Neville was not present that day, and Gryffindor should still be in third place compared to the last world line, because they can still be 50 points more, but someone's academic hegemony attribute completely suppresses everything, and the increase and decrease in points in class offset those gaps. Even Slytherin's score is higher than before.

A thunderous cheer and stomping broke out at the Slytherin table. Malfoy was expressionless, while Pansy seemed to be in a bad mood because of what he had just said. The dark cloud in her heart had been lingering.

"Yeah, yeah, good performance," Dumbledore said.

"However, a few things that have happened recently must also be counted." The auditorium became very quiet, and the Slytherins' smiles converged. "Uh, uh," Dumbledore cleared his throat.

"I still have some final points to be assigned. Let me see. By the way, "The first item-Mr. Ron Weasley." Ron's face suddenly became so bright that it looked like a carrot in the sun.

"He won Hogwarts' most exciting game for many years. I reward Gryffindor Academy with fifty points."

The cheers of the Gryffindors almost overturned the enchanted ceiling. The stars above them also seemed to be shaking slightly. You could hear Percy telling other heads aloud: "It's my younger brother, you know! My youngest younger brother! Successfully passed Professor McGonagall's giant chessboard array!"

Everyone finally calmed down.

"Second item-Miss Hermione Granger. She faced the fire and calmly performed logical reasoning. More than that, she calmly used the magic spell on the chessboard to help her teammates and used the knowledge in the herbal medicine class to solve it. I'm going to reward Gryffindor College with sixty points." Hermione buried her face in her arms. No one knew her mood. Harry suspected she was crying with joy, but her mood was sour at the moment.

"He knows everything, the devil's net, the simplified obstacle curse, he knows everything, he helped us, but now it is only us who added points." She then looked up silently in the direction of Slytherin. She only saw Malfoy sitting precariously, with no expression.

"These extra points might have belonged to him." She wanted to stand up and tell Dumbledore aloud, but she could not speak.

"The third item-Harry Potter," said Dumbledore. The hall suddenly became very quiet.

"He showed great fearless courage and extraordinary courage. For this, I would also reward Gryffindor College with seventy points."

The noise was deafening. Those who shouted hoarsely while calculating their scores know that Gryffindor is now 492 points-exactly the same as Slytherin's. They have already rushed to the Academy Cup champion-it would be nice if Dumbledore's award gave Harry a point.

Dumbledore raised a hand. The auditorium gradually became quiet again.

"There are many kinds of courage," Dumbledore smiled.

"We need superman's courage to deal with our enemies. It takes courage to stick to our position in front of our friends. Therefore, I want to reward Mr. Neville Longbottom."

If someone was standing outside the auditorium at that moment, they might have thought that an explosion had occurred there, and the cheers on the Gryffindor table were higher than the waves.

Harry and Ron immediately stood up and cheered loudly, but Neville's face was astonished, and he was suddenly overwhelmed by the crowd squeezed to hug him. He never gave Gryffindor a point! Everyone was crazy, except for Hermione, who just stood up slowly from the seat and gently clapped her hands. No one noticed her abnormal behavior.

"This means," Dumbledore had to roar loudly to overwhelm the thunderous cheers, because even the students of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were celebrating Slytherin's sudden defeat, "We need to make some minor adjustments to the final points. Therefore, Slytherin's final score is 472 points, and Gryffindor's final score is 492 points."

The cheers from the Gryffindor table were even louder. Harry saw Neville's face turned red, and he was also very happy, because Neville had never been popular before, but now he is the hero of Gryffindor.

"So," Dumbledore's voice became serious, "I have the honor to announce that the Academy Cup champion this year is Gryffindor College!"

He clapped his hands, and immediately, those green drape ribbons turned bright red, silver became golden; the giant Slytherin snake disappeared, replaced by a majestic Gryffindor lion.

Snape was shaking hands with Professor McGonagall, his face embarrassed with an awkward smile. His eyes met Harry, and Harry immediately understood that Snape's attitude towards him had not changed at all.

Harry felt that there was nothing to worry about. It seems that next year's life will return to normal, at least to Hogwarts' usual state.

This is the best night of Harry's life, better than the day of winning the Quidditch game and celebrating Christmas. He will never and never forget this night.

------------------------

"Don't be angry, the Academy Cup isn't important." Malfoy comforted her by patting her on the back and gently calming her until she stopped crying.

The banquet ended and the students from different colleges began to disperse.

Malfoy was on his way back to his bedroom. He had been exhausted due to Voldemort and had not gotten a good rest. As he walked, he couldn't help but think about the reutilization rate of the institutions. He shuddered at the thought of the poison Dumbledore seemed to never drink after five years.

"Professor Dumbledore is waiting for you in his office, Mr. Draco," Professor McGonagall stopped him, her face puzzled. "It seems he has some questions about the final exam." Professor McGonagall added, though she didn't like Slytherin very much, she still had to say something nice to the student.

She was also wondering why Dumbledore came to him for final exam questions, as they were not necessarily harder than her usual questions.

"Okay, I know, Professor McGonagall," Malfoy nodded.

"When did the old bee's psychic temptation become so powerful? I even think he knows it now, even though I'm far away from him." Of course, this was just a joke. Malfoy knew why Dumbledore came to see him.

"Right, the password is 'cockroach pile'," Professor McGonagall added.

"Thank you," Malfoy replied.

Upon arriving at the office for the second time, Malfoy knew the way. He spoke the password, "cockroach pile," and the stone monster moved aside. Inside, the door was not closed.

The room was familiar, with various silverware spitting smoke. Dumbledore was ripping open a sizzling honey candy wrap at his desk. He looked up and hurriedly waved to Malfoy.

"Don't stand, sit down, my boy."

Malfoy wondered if his memory was the problem, or if the other party's was.

The last meeting was a bit of an unpleasant.

Now the old bee was pretending to be someone else. The older the face, the thicker the old skin.

"You were wronged this time by the College Cup," Dumbledore gave up the lollipop packaging and said kindly to Malfoy.

"Professor, what are you talking about? Why can't I understand?" Malfoy began to act silly.

"Don't I have some problems with my final exam results? Where's the problem?"

"Hehe," Dumbledore shook his beard and smiled awkwardly.

"It's nothing, just too good. I think I need to reward you."

"Thank you, Professor, but I don't need it. I have to comfort my girlfriend. She cried so sad today." Malfoy stepped back.

"I didn't knock on the bamboo sticks that I sent to the door. I really thought I was a good young man?"

"I think that trauma to the soul needs such a thing to heal," Dumbledore pulled out a delicate bottle from his arms, filled with crystal clear liquid.

Even though it was sealed in the the glass, Malfoy could feel the powerful magical fluctuations and a sense of holiness.

"When you open your eyes and talk nonsense, in what years can the tears of a Phoenix still heal the wounds in your heart?" Malfoy still took the bottle, feeling sullen.

"I think this thing should still be useful. Thank you very much." He paused and then said, "Yes, Professor, I picked up a strange stone when I was hanging out in school the other day. Can you take a look at it?" He touched his pocket and pulled out the magic stone, placing it on the table.

Dumbledore held his glasses and took the magic stone into his arms.

"Oh, it's really a magic stone. I think I have to study it for a few days," he said. Then he asked sincerely, "Harry said he saw a strange stone as well. Do you know what that is?"

"If you can get hold of that stone, you should be able to see the same person in the mirror of Eris. Your wand should also resemble a series, but now it should have turned gray," Malfoy said lightly, and then turned away, leaving Dumbledore with his back.

No one saw Dumbledore's hand suddenly clench the corner of the table. The death of his sister was the heaviest pain in his life.

Malfoy took a breath.

"It's really troublesome dealing with the old bee," he said, shaking his head.

"But to repair the relationship, he was willing to give up his blood." As he spoke, he glanced at a bottle of Phoenix tears in his hand, the magic inside almost overflowing.

The last meeting proved his own strength. This incident with the Magic Stone showed his position. Dumbledore may still be skeptical, but of course, he would choose a talented and skilled child. Dumbledore is different from Voldemort.

He has the love of his loved ones and possibly even friends. Dumbledore will naturally find a way to attract him.

In a sense, he and Voldemort are similar in that they both play hard for their purposes. In the face of mortality, he can also set a plan to make the best use of his death to make the game. It can be seen that in this sense, he is more terrifying than Voldemort.

There may be other reasons as well. If Malfoy were a poor and pure white Muggle wizard, he might have been arbitrarily rubbed and rounded by old bee, but now Malfoy's father holds a position of authority as a school director and in the wizarding world.

Dumbledore can only choose to lure him.

"Actually, old bee, you're really not suitable for education," Malfoy remembered Voldemort's childhood.

Tom Riddle was once stubborn and abnormal, hanging a child's rabbit, taking other people's things, and abducting them.

What did Dumbledore do when the two children entered the seaside cave? He used violence to control violence! He used a burning closet to force Riddle to confess.

He said "love," but he dealt with an orphan in this way.

When you can coerce a person to give in to you, but I don't know that an evil seed has already been buried, today I can't beat you, you make me give in, then I am stronger than you, and I can make you give in This may be the first lesson Dumbledore taught Voldemort.

"But it doesn't matter, the benefits are the most tangible," Malfoy couldn't help looking at the bottle of Phoenix tears, fascinated by the majestic magic.

"This thing is much more practical than the old wand. Maybe it's one more life." Malfoy, who had a huge harvest, was in a good mood and couldn't help blowing a whistle as he returned to his bedroom with a whistle.

Some Slytherin students thought it was because of the College Cup that he was mad after being stimulated.
