Sade

"So I went to the bar..."

"Yes."

"And I passed out..."

"Correct."

"And then you took me home. And now we're here."

"Yes." Nik sighs as I attempt to understand how I even had this dream. It felt so true.

"Damn..." I sigh too. I grab the glass of water from my bedside table and down it extremely quickly. Fuck I needed that my throat was so dry.

I sigh and get up walking after Nik to the kitchen. They make me breakfast which is eggs and bacon with toast on the side.

I start to eat as they make me their fantastic coffee. "What did you dream about? You made some... Noise." Nik raises a question.

"Piper."

"Piper?... Piper Sullivan?" They ask. I nod humming. They hum back in a surprise hum. You know there's an agreed hum that's like 'mhm' there's a disappointing hum that's like 'mm-hmm' and there's a surprise one that's like 'hmm'. So it was a surprise hum. "She is a girl with baggage." They said.

"I know. I did my research."

"Sade, my dear, honey... You sound like a stalker.." They say.

"I know," I state back. They sigh and give me the coffee that I happily sip on.

After roughly an hour, I took off to my office and got to work. I signed everything that needed to be signed and did all of my paperwork.

My office isn't as big as one would guess. Behind me is a window wall that is covered in black mesh curtains, the wall opposite the window is the entrance, there are two big wooden doors that reach from the floor all the way up to the ceiling. The doors have golden handles that I hand-picked. On my right, there's a big copy of 'Starry night' By Van Gogh. In the middle of the room is my quite large white and black wood and metal desk. This kind of table was very popular in the modern days, now we are in the post-modern days so it is less popular but I love it.

On my desk, almost everything is made out of clear glass, like the organisers, pen cups, and table light. There's my MacBook and my mouse. my mousepad with a wrist pad. My office phone, water bottle, paper organisers, Colour coded folders, everything is clean, no dust.

On my left, there is what I call the empty wall. Why? Well, I feel like it's kind of self-explanatory, isn't it? It's because it's naked of paintings, artwork, or well... anything.

Suddenly, my office phone rings and I respond to it without looking. "Yes?"

"Ms Everdeen, you have a guest."

"Who is it?" I question this since I don't recall having a meeting today.

"Ms Sullivan." She informs.

"Bring her in" I declare after a minute or so of stillness. I hang up and put the paper I was working on in the folder that it belongs to.

The large office doors open and in strolls my assistant with a glass of wine and a glass of water on a black tray and Piper walking behind her. My assistant places the glasses on my desk where there are those things you put under cups with hot liquid or simply anything in order to not ruin the table, so it's here so the table won't get destroyed by anything.

Piper sits down on one of the cushioned chairs. She takes a sip from her water as I sip on my wine.

"So Ms Sullivan, what may I owe the pleasure?" I question.

"Well, I wanted to ask if you would like to date me?"
