A fallen world welcomes another fallen man. Our days are few but seems marked with endless difficulties. -(Job 14:1)
Jalah Twistedheart was just a normal teenager. She had just graduated high school and was going to turn nineteen in three more days, she looked forward to finally leaving home and starting her own life, following her own rules and finally being free.
The Twistedhearts were one of the very few families left in the world that were direct descendants of Great Demon - Slayer's and of Powerful Priests and Priestesses; who still knew the old teachings of Demonology, who had kept their Spiritual Powers strong and still fought to bring balance to the ever dying world. A world that wasn't aware of the ever growing evil that was forever threatening to destroy the world. They had dedicated their lives inpreserving the delicate balance of good and evil.
But, many in their town didn't look at them kindly and believed that they were Witches, Sorcerers, and people who were mentally unstable and shouldn't be trusted to have around.
The townsfolk shunned them, treated them coldly. This had always bothered and hurt Jalah who had worked hard to make the townsfolk accept her and view her differently than her family.
She loved her family but her family was what she believed to be odd and thought that the things her family talked about, the things they constantly warned her about and tried to embed into her head since before she could even remember; she believed to be nothing else but nonsense.
But everything Jalah thought was nothing but made up stories that were told to try and scare her, she would soon find to be very real!
That creatures of the night and the things that hid in the shadows were everywhere. And even the waters and the sky had creatures that hunted and thirst for blood. Constantly waiting and seeking out their next prey that they could suck the soul out of and turn to their mindless zombie like puppets or to savagely rip apart and feast upon.
