As I came to, a massive headache greeted me. Alongside a blinding darkness and cold wet floors that occasionally got their fill of liquidation by the dripping dew from the roof of whatever room I lay.
Groaning, I sit up. Chains rattling as my arms reach for my head. Wanting to quell my headache but left with no other choice but to sit and endure it. My mind races at speeds quicker than I ever thought possible, wondering just what's going on.
"Ugh..." Groaning once again, this time louder to test who was all present in the room with me. My plan failed as even after waiting for a couple of minutes, or seconds, not a single response challenged my noise.
'Great...' The world vibrates again, concern lacing its every rhythm. A sense of comfort blankets me from the familiar feeling of the world still being present and at my side. Makes me feel like I wasn't alone.
With nothing to do and a raging headache plaguing my mind, I lean my head back against the wall behind and me and shut my eyes. Figuring that I could at least use this time of silence to hopefully sleep off the migraine and calm my nerves a bit more before I have to start negotiating for my life.
If that's what they want that is.
...
"Hey!" BANG BANG! "Wake your ass up, boy." My eyes creak open as I eye the man in front of me. I already knew of his presence little after he set foot on this floor. The world whispered it to me. Waking me up and giving me some time to think ahead.
"Hnn..." Groggily groaning, I swing my head forward, letting it fall. I chose to play this like I was really an incapacitated five year old. The man, though, didn't seem interested.
"Tch... Sleeping like a baby in this filthy place even after witnessing your mother die. What a monster." He mumbles, but the world carries his voice to my ears. His words bring up the distasteful memory, my hand balls up.
"...Shut up." I mumble.
"What was that?" Catching the slightest hum from my voice, the man questions me as he steps closer. My fists clench harder than before.
"Shut up." I say, looking up at the man and locking eyes with him. I still don't get a good image of the man due to the darkness, but I can tell he's tall... Terrifyingly tall. Muscular too, but I guess being in his line of work calls for a good physique.
"Hah... A child at the end of the day. I hope killing your bitch of a mother and taking you was worth it. You don't seem like much." At his words, the world and I thrummed with anger and irritation. The vibrations grew.
RING! RING!
The mans phone goes off in the middle of our staring contest for dominance. He clicks his tongue and tears his eyes from mine, but mine never leave his figure.
"Yes boss? Huh? Yeah he's up- Oh... Oh! You're coming here!? A-already? I mean, yes sir. We'll prepare for your arrival."
BEEP. The call ends and his attention is now back on me. Even if it was for a split second.
"Guess you're important after all." He says with a grunt before spinning on his heels and walking back the way he came. I watched as his back got smaller before eventually fading into darkness. Although his outline was gone, his footsteps weren't.
'15 total steps. I'm not that far underground... Maybe on level with the sewers.' I meander wordlessly. That's not that many steps keeping me from freedom... If I could reach those stairs, I can go back home.
I can-
Wait... Why would I? What's waiting for me up there?
As reality of what happened before I got here sets in. I slowly curl into a ball, feeling the bruise and bandages of where I got shot stretch and threaten to tear. 'This day is going to be a long one.'
...
Soon enough, the world whispers to me once again, announcing the arrival of the one man responsible for what happened to me and my mother. Just like with the last man who came to visit me, he was nothing but an outline sauntering above me with terrifying height.
Peering at me with eyes filled with so much arrogance I can practically feel him dig a hole into my head as I challenged his gaze back. I show no ounce of being tamed, even in the more subtle ways.
"Hello. How are you? I hope my guys before me didn't treat you too bad... You're special after all." He says, kneeling down in front of me. I say nothing and stay curled in the fetal position. My eyes never leaving his in the process of him trying to break down the wall he knows I've built.
"Not much of a talker, huh..." He sighs, standing back up. "That's fine, that's fine... That'll change." He mutters, and with his words, the world once again freaks out, much like it did before my mother was shot. My guard was instantly formed and the world reacted to that, forming a sort of shield around me.
"Holy shit.. It's true... The Force is really connected to you!" The man goes wide eyed at his weird discovery, laughing like a kid that just witnessed the coolest magic trick. However, once his laughter stopped, the world cried harder.
"Oh~ This will be fun. I'm going to make you perfect!" My whole body tenses listening to his words and what they could mean. 'Making me perfect?' What does that even mean? Perfect in a world of power is impossible.
I don't even have a quirk after all.
"..What does that mean? 'Perfect'?" I mutter, my voice a rasp whisper due to the dehydration I'm experiencing right now. The man smiles so bright his pearly white teeth shine in even in darkness. Bending down with a crack of his knees, he puts his head just inches from mine.
Giving me a clear view of his purple, deep amethyst eyes.
"That's not something you should worry about... Your entire existence is a miracle and all I'm planning is to help you reach your peak! Your potential is uncapped, unmatched and can't be hindered. The Force chose you, which is why I'm choosing you too." He explains, grabbing my hands to hold within his own.
I don't pull away as the worlds cries turned into a hums of serenity. This man in front of me wasn't dangerous. He was of no harm to me at the moment... 'What does he want from me? A perfect existence? Me?' I relish his words within my mind and the idea brings about a feeling unknown to me.
I've never felt this way before.
I've never felt... Excited as much as I do now.
"Make me perfect.. Tell me more. Please." I ask of him, gripping his hands with my own. The world hummed in agreement with my decision, making me confident I chose the right path.
The man smiles brightly and the world cried and screamed as an invisible force removed the chains that shackled me. He stood up, my hand in his. I follow along, our eyes never leaving each others, however out of the blue, a sudden, barely noticeable tingle irritated my brain, causing me to twitch in random places.
The world cried, screaming at me that it was a trick. A trap.
My eyes widen and I quickly take my hands away, my feet following the same as I scurry away from the man. My gaze sharpening and turning into an intense, confused frown.
"...What were you doing?" I ask, my wet hair plastering itself to my forehead and covering some of my eyes. The man broke into a chuckle, sending waves of power through the water pooled on the floor.
"You're absolutely amazing! Such a deep connection with The Force at such a young age... It holds so much love for you... WHY!?" He suddenly switches tempo, his vibe becoming chaotic and rabid. Screaming at me with a hatred filled tone, I flinch away, but was stopped in my tracks as the world screams in pain and worry.
An invisible force grips at my throat, cutting my air supply and yanking me from the comfort of the ground. I thrash and gasp for air, but to no avail, I was denied my right to breath.
"S-Stop!" I struggle, swinging my feet harder and harder as the border between unconsciousness and the world of the living close in on me, and it's closing in fast. The force being asserted to my wind pipe will render me without one if this is kept up any longer.
The world thrummed with vibrations of every type of emotion, wrapping itself around me and lightening to the grip the man had on me with his telekinesis. It opened up enough for me to fall out, gasping for breath.
The mans eyes widened as I glared at him. He stumbled back as he held his head, his eyes showing a great horror.
"O-Oh no- Oh god... I'm so sorry! I-I never mean to harm you!" I raise an eyebrow, starting to get fed up with everything that's going on. 'Was I really kidnapped by this mistake of an adult? There's no way he's the one in charge.' I thought to myself.
But my mind wandered on his new show of ability. It felt similar, frighteningly similar to the voice of the world- Or as he called it, The Force.
"...What is, 'The Force?'"
