"Strange people, huh?"
Hassan's whispered declaration caught Ryker off guard. He couldn't think of anyone who would be after him at this point, except for maybe the possessed Hu Long. However, the wording of 'strange people' also implied that they weren't 'immortals' like Ryker and the other outsiders.
"Yes. A strange cult seeking immortality," Hassan explained, "They have been looking into the rumors of immortals descending from the Upper Planes. Although I don't think they pose any threat to Lord Immortal, they are… not quite all there. Please be careful."
Ryker nodded, keeping Hassan's warning in mind. So, it was natives of this world that were seeking immortality, was it?
"Got it. Well, we just wanted to stop by and say hello, but we'll be leaving for an extended trip. We're not sure when we'll be back."
"Understood. Not to worry, we Dune Tigers will continue to supply this outpost without fail!"
