Meanwhile, Ryker was checking how much time he had left on 'borrowing', floating lazily through the sky. He always made sure to keep 10 minutes in reserve, even as he explored the capabilities of his friends through 'borrowing' every day.
While he flew, he kept an eye on Wen Xiaodan, leisurely firing off another salvo of 'Magic Missile' whenever he could. There was a delay between each casting as he gathered the mental focus required to manifest the spell, but with how many were fired off each time, he didn't feel it was a bad tradeoff.
"I am Wen Xiaodan, of the Exalted Lightning Pavilion! Ryker, today is the day I will defeat you!"
Suddenly, though, he heard Wen Xiaodan shouting from below, turning his attention to see her leaping into the air towards him.
