Ryker felt some sweat drip down his forehead, and it wasn't all from the desert heat. There wasn't some kind of great opportunity where Long Meiling had decided to undergo her tribulation, was there?
And Luo Shuchang definitely wouldn't try anything to snatch it if that were the case, right?
"Well, not the particular opportunity I'd spoken of, but I did sense there might be something good," Luo Shuchang replied, eyeing Ryker with a curious gaze. His knowing smile was all Ryker needed to know that he knew something was up, though.
"There isn't anything in that direction I should know of, is there?"
"Er, y'know…"
Ryker waffled a bit, wondering if he should tell Luo Shuchang about Long Meiling's tribulation, outright. It wasn't that he didn't trust him, but that Long Meiling would probably get angry if he revealed it to Luo Shuchang, of all people.
