Faced with Hassan's cautious gaze, Ryker simply put on a cheery smile, giving the rough-looking man a polite salute.
"Yo, we were just passing through, actually, and we saw your guys needed some help," he said, not hiding anything.
"Actually, we're not from this world, so we were hoping you could give us some clues as to something we're looking for."
Hassan blinked, speechless for a moment. Although he had his suspicions, he hadn't expected such an upfront answer from these strangers.
Were all immortals so straightforward? Maybe the stories had all been exaggerated.
"I see. Then, can I take it that you two are immortals descending upon this realm?" he asked. Since this man had answered him honestly, it was only right for him to get right to the point, as well.
"Uh, like I said, we're not immortals, or anything," Ryker said, scratching his head, "Though, I guess you *could* say we're still on the path to immortality?"
"... I see."
