Chapter 110 - Discerning Tastes

With a clap of Liu Chao's hands, two lines of servants dressed in silken blue robes burst through the doors of the banquet hall, all of them carrying serving trays full of lavish dishes as they gracefully brought the food to the table.

In spite of their long, flowing sleeves, each servant expertly set their dishes on the table without issue, giving a short bow before taking their leave. Soon enough, the dining table was packed with vibrantly colored dishes of all kinds, filling the air with a spicy-sweet aroma that made one's mouth water.

Once the servants were done, the doors once again swung open to reveal Liu Chao's disciple, Yuan Fu, holding a large covered platter that he swiftly brought to the table. Putting it down in the center, where a space just big enough for the platter had been left, he removed the lid, revealing a huge, steaming hot fish resting on a layer of fresh vegetables.
