Lilliana scoured the horizon, jumping from rooftop to rooftop around Wandering Battle City. After rendezvousing with Hu Long at the Heavenly Jade Pavilion, the two of them plus Yuan Fu scattered in search of Cui Feng, along with several of Liu Chao's subordinates.
However, their search so far had been fruitless. Was Cui Feng not in the city?
'... I got too complacent.'
Her eyes wandered towards the river, where a hazy, white mist blanketed the city underneath a full moon. After figuring out the concept behind the Great Void Sect's stealth technique, she thought she would be able to detect them as soon as they tried anything funny again, but they'd managed to slip under her radar.
She knew she'd felt something off earlier in the day. She knew it. But she'd been lax, believing the Great Void wouldn't have tried something again so soon after having lost so much.
