"Disciple Hu…"
There was a tense silence as Elder Jiang stared at Hu Long with a difficult expression, seemingly having trouble coming up with what to say. Hu Long, too, didn't say a word as he warily awaited the reason for Elder Jiang's impromptu visit.
Eventually, however, it was Ryker who broke the silence.
"Come on, old man, what do you want? We're tryin' to have some fun, over here," he said, resting his hands behind his head with an impudent grin. Elder Jiang just shot him a dirty look, but after a few moments, he sighed, beginning to speak.
"Hu Long… I've come today to… apologize."
He lowered his head, causing Hu Long to recoil in surprise.
*The* Elder Jiang was coming to him to apologize? The one who'd been an indirect thorn in his side since he'd joined the sect?
"Ahem, I know this may be sudden… but I figured now would be the best time. I will be leaving the sect."
