Although he was expecting it, the words that left Ji Shuchun's mouth hit Ryker like a fireball.
"So it's already started, then…" he muttered, causing Ji Shuchun to raise an eyebrow.
"What do you mean?" she asked. Ryker and Long Meiling only exchanged glances, before Ryker began to explain the gist of things.
For her part, Ji Shuchun listened with a blank expression, the only hint of emotion being a slight clenching of her fists. Once Ryker was finished, she took a deep breath, before opening her eyes and hitting him with a sharp glare.
"So you're saying he was possessed by a remnant soul? Are you really expecting me to believe that?"
What was their game here? Were they trying to cover for him with such an unbelievable excuse?
"Believe it or not, that's what happened," Ryker said, shaking his head, "We're trying to stop him from being taken over completely, so you're free to decide what you wanna do after we've done that."
