Also, anything written below is considered somewhat of a spoiler, so I advise you to read once you have reached until Chapter 15+!

❖ Common Terms:
- Infection: Miraculous abilities/ powers that one gained through consuming the flesh of their slain enemies/prey!
- Monsters: Ordinary animals that through gaining their Infections turned into dreadful beasts, Monsters!
- Creatures: Monstrosities that had been created through various, seemingly mysterious means, possessing powerful abilities!
- Blighted: Humans who are infected to the point where their bodies mutated slightly in one way or another and their bloodthirst increased exceptionally!
- Fallen: Humans who became so "blighted" that their bodies changed, transmuted completely, and lost all rationality!
- Specters: Humans that hide in the Wilderness inside Shelters, outside Citadels, and Sanctuaries. They hunt both humans and Monsters alike, usually Blighted people.
- Wanderers: Creatures that wander between Sectors or Zones.
- Undead: Humans/ Monsters whose bodies (Usually their corpses) became infected, possessed, and controlled by a parasite!
- Guardian: A powerful Creature that protects certain areas without leaving them for specific reasons.
- Void: Artificial space that looks small from the outside but has a whole new world within!
- Void Gate: A portal or entrance into the Void.
- Modifier: A special device that can modify specific Infections.
- Sectors: The world through different means had been split into different sections, Sectors, each varying either/ both environment, climate, Monsters in Power Stages, and Infection Levels.
- Zones: Within each Sector different areas vary in safety.
- Citadels: Human fort, usually built within Safe Zones, to give people refuge.
- Sanctuary: Larger Citadels that are built in regions where barely any Monsters lurk or wander.
- Shelters: Hideouts in the Wilderness that are usually inhabited by Specters.
- Wilderness: Large areas outside Citadels/ Sanctuary, where Monsters dwell in great numbers.
❖ Monster Evolution Stages:
• Monsters gain power by eating other Monsters or Infected humans. The more prey they consume the stronger they become and the higher Stage their abilities "evolve"!

- Corrupted
- Endowed
❖ Human Evolution Stages:
• Just like Monsters, humans gain powers through slaying and consuming the remnants of either Monsters or other humans. However, for their abilities to "evolve" and reach higher Stages, they also need to consume so-called "Cores"!
- Infected
- Transformed
- Mutated
- Evolved
- Harrowed
- Reborn
- Purified
- Graced
❖ Monsters' Infection Grade:
• Different from humans, who could only possess one or a maximum of two Infections as more than that will make them either Blighted or Fallen, Monsters can possess more, categorized as the following:
- Monsters possessing only 1 Infection: Beast
- Monsters possessing 2 Infections: Hazard
- Monsters possess 3 Infections: Calamity
- Monsters possessing more than 3 Infections: Chaos
(This means an Infected Monster with 1 ability is an Infected Beast, while another with 2 abilities is an Infected Hazard!)
❖ Infection Tiers:
• As there are uncountable Infections, there are several with the same aspects but somehow still differ from one another. In this case, to determine which one is more useful/ grants more strength/ has the highest chance to evolve into something greater, these Infections are separated into Tiers!
- Tier 1 -> Weakest
- Tier 2
- Tier 3
- Tier 4
- Tier 5 -> Strongest
- Tier 0 -> Rare Infections that only through special circumstances can evolve after reaching the Harrowed Stage and unlock their hidden potential.
