Chapter 51 - Trickster.

"Yes, we do have a different heartbeat from humans and we are cold-blooded too," Veronica said.

'Yeah, I already knew about that one.'

"Let me leave you so that you can enjoy your time with your boyfriend," Veronica said teasingly and giggled.

"He is not my boyfriend," I said out loud.

What did I just do?

Shit.

No…no…no….no.

He can't know that he was the one that I was referring to.

"What?" Raymond asked.

"Nothing," I said and shook my head at the same time, trying to hide my face with my hair.

"No, you said 'he is not my boyfriend.' Were you referring to me?" He asked.

"No… it's nothing." I replied to him and bowed my head.

"Eunice." He said as he too my arms again, kissed them, sighed and continued,

"Look me in the eyes and say it wasn't me you were talking about just now."

I raised my head and looked him straight in the eyes and said,

"Yes, it was about you. What would you do?"

"Nothing, what if I become your boyfriend?" He asked.

His he asking me that now?

"Uh?" That was the only thing I could say.

"Yes, I still want to marry you. I believe in courtship before marriage, that's why I am sincerely asking you now. Will you be my Juliet?" He asked again.

"I… I…" I don't know if I became short of words or speechless or did not know the right words to use.

"Shhh! It's okay if you don't know what to say. Here's what we are going to do. I will join you to tell J.J and Genevieve about you being a superhuman and I will tell the rest that we have started dating." He said as he brought himself closer to me again for another round of kisses but I quickly face sideways and he ended up kissing my ear.

"You can't just successfully kiss me and still tell me what to do and what not to do. You aren't my father or my mother or even my grandma, are you?" I asked.

"What is it?" He asked as he became confused by my sudden change in mood.

"We kissing doesn't make me your girlfriend so you can start ordering around the way you like," I replied to him with a frown and glared at him.

"I am sorry for kissing you without asking for your permission first." He apologized and bowed his head. I think he was embarrassed and a bit confused and probably angry.

I am sure he didn't see it coming.

"Stop telling me what to do and what not to do and trying to kiss me too. I allow you to kiss me doesn't give you the right to order me around. We are not even dating yet and we might never. I will tell my friends my secret whenever I want." I said and stood up and walked towards the big window of the room.

I stood there for about five minutes, looking over the window, with my hands folded across my chest daring not to look back.

I don't care about how he feels right now.

He is a jerk.

He stood up too, walked up to me and stood behind me so that I could feel the warmth of his breath and that made my heart to skip a bit.

"What did I do or say wrong?" He asked with a low and calm tone.

"I hate it when someone forces words in my mouth."

"Force? How?" He asked confusedly.

"You shouldn't tell me what to do except I ask you. I don't want to tell them tomorrow again. I want them to find out themselves. It's better like that. Luckily for me, I will be able to explain myself to them." I said and sighed very deeply.

He sighed, laughed softly and said,

"Okay, my Lady. I am sincerely sorry about that. I am sorry." He said and hugged me from behind.

"Are you sure?" I asked and smiled and blushing to make sure he doesn't see me.

"Yes, I am very sorry." He said and rested his head on my back.

I smiled so brightly that I forgave him without a second thought about it.

I turned around and hugged him properly.

We hugged so tight one could get suffocated.

"I am sorry." He apologized again.

"It's fine," I said to him as I withdraw from the hug and kissed him on his cheek and went back to my bed and sat down.

He walked up to me and stood in front of me and said,

"It's evening, let's go for a short walk."

I looked up at him, smiled and nodded.

He helped me up and we came out of my room, holding my hand.

I withdrew my hand from him when we came to the living room.

Hale and J.J were there, except Lizzy and Genevieve.

They were sleeping together holding and cuddling each other like a newly wedded couple that was on their honeymoon, while the tv was on.

I quickly walked toward the tv and said,

"Tv off." It switched off.

I tapped both of them on their shoulders and woke them up.

"What do you want?" Hale asked lazily with his eyes partially opened, yawned and began to rub his eyes.

"Where are Lizzy and Genevieve?" I asked.

"She went out." He replied and yawned again.

"Where did she go?" I asked.

"I don't know, she didn't tell us." He replied as he laid down again beside J.J who seemed to be fully awake but was still lying down.

"When did she leave?" I asked.

"She left the time she came out of your room. She didn't say anything, she just left. I came to meet you the moment she stepped out of the house." Raymond said behind me.

"What about Genevieve?" I asked.

"She went with Elizabeth," J.J replied as he sat up.

"Ugh! Where did they go without me?" I asked and pouted.

"Don't worry, I am sure they will be back soon," Raymond said as he placed his hand on my shoulder.

"Yes, they will," J.J added as he laid down again using Hale's chest as a pillow.

"How about we go for a walk too?" Raymond asked.

"Yeah, sure," Hale said as he pushed J.J's head out of his chef and sat up again.

"No, I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to her." Raymond said while J.J giggled and dragged Hale to lie down back beside him, resting his head on Hale's chest.

"I wasn't talking to you either, I was talking to her," Hale said as he pushed J.J's head out of his chest again and sat up again.

"No, thanks. Let's go, Raymond." I said and walked out of the room, pulling Raymond behind me.

We got out of the living room and were on the veranda when I walked to the case and rested on it.

"Are you okay?" Raymond asked as he rushed towards me, making me stand straight and hugging me.

I nodded and said,

"Yes."

"Are you sure?" He asked as he pushed my head forward so that I could rest my head on his shoulder.

"Yes, I am okay. Let's go for a walk." I replied as I stepped back, stood straight and walked down the short stairway.

"Wait for me," Raymond said as he walked up to me and held my hand.

We walked into the woods that were close to the house.

"There is something I want to show you. You will be the second girl I am showing this to." Raymond said when we almost came to the end of the woods.

"Who was the first girl?" I asked.

"My sister." He replied to me and laughed softly.

Hmm. I believe him. It might be true and it might be a lie.

"So, where are we going?" I asked.

"If you trust me enough, close your eyes and I will show you." He said.

Well, he can't do me any harm, after all, I am stronger than he is.

"Okay." He said and walked closer to me and stood behind me, placed his palms on my eyes and said,

"Keep walking straight and stop when I say so."

I did, I kept walking forward until we got to a place that has very fine sand.

"Stop." He ordered when we got to our destination.

"Okay," I said and obeyed him.

"Now open your eyes and tell me what you see." He ordered again.

"Wow!" I exclaimed at the beautiful site.

"Do you like it?" He asked, smiling at me.

"Yes, I do," I said at the top of my voice, hugged him and kissed him on his cheek and began to run around with my hands in the air and turning around severally with my arms spread out.

I was feeling free.

It was a small beach.

How did he even know that there was one here?

"How did you discover it?" I asked as I returned to him and stood in front of him.

He sighed and said,

"Remember, I told you that I sold that house to Hale."

"Oh, yeah. That's true. I am sorry I forgot." I apologized as I started to dip one of my feet inside the Sandy soil.

"It's fine. Can you swim?" He asked, staring at me with his hot and sexy gaze.

"Yeah, have you seen a noble lady that can't swim? It's one of the things we are taught as survival skills." I replied to him.

"How about we go for a swim?" He asked.

"Isn't it dangerous?" I asked.

"No." He replied and shook his head at the same time.

"How sure are you?" I asked.

"Hundred per cent. Don't worry there are no crocodiles." He said as he started removing his clothes.

"Go first," I said to him,

"I already am." He said As he walked closer to the shore and walked into the water with his undies.

I dared not look at his undies, it was tempting but I didn't.

He was wearing pink men's undies. His genitals were….. no comment, I didn't see it.

"Woah. It's awesome. Come join me." He said and signalled for me to come too.

I removed my clothes and left my bra and panties.

I walked closer to the shore and dipped my right foot into the water, it felt so cold and relaxing.

I walked into the water as it got deeper.

"Careful," Raymond said as he swan towards me and stretched his hands towards me.

I grabbed it and gently walked deeper into the water.

I got and felt the chills when the water was reaching me on my shoulders.

He drew me closer to himself and he splashed me with water. I did the same and before you knew it, we were both wet from head to toe as we started playing.

"Seeing you right now reminds me of that day." He said when he was supposed to splash me water but held me on my waist instead, gently drawing me closer to himself.

"Which day?" I asked with a frown as I tried to remember the day he was talking about.

"That rainy day." He said as he had successfully drawn me close enough that my bra was pressing against his chest.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

"That was the first time I saw you with your hair wet. Your hair was down that day, hanging around your shoulders. He said as he slid my hair band out of my hair.

He brushed my hair to the back of my ear and brushed his thumb past my lip.

"And today." He said as he gently pushed my head towards his and brought his face closer to mine and closed his eyes.

I closed my eyes too, as our mouth that was slightly opened met and we started kissing.
