"That's it," Gloria uttered as she patted her mother-in-law's back. "You let it all out," she said. "You don't have to keep it to yourself. I'm a woman and I understand you," Gloria's voice seemed to also add to the comfort she was trying to share.
Lydia spent a while crying in Gloria's arms and Gloria was available and ready to make her feel better. "It's okay to cry."
"I'll miss him," Lydia whispered. "I'm going to miss him so much."
Lucian, who was at the door, eavesdropping, walked into the room. He was feeling very proud of his woman because she did something that he knew he couldn't do for his mother.
After a moment, Lydia seemed to feel a bit better so she unwrapped Gloria and wiped her tears.
"You know, if you don't feel like eating, I get you. It's totally fine. You'll eat later but for now, I think you should have some rest. It's been a long day," Gloria stood up and pulled the bed sheets so her mother could rest.
