When Lucian arrived, he stopped his car and ran to the doorbell to ring it. After ringing, he returned to his car, hoping that she'd come to open the gate for him.
However, his first attempt failed, thus, he tried again. And again, he failed. Lucian ran to his car the fifth time and luckily and finally, the gate went open.
He started the engine and drove through the gate because he knew that once Gloria realized his move, she'd restrict him from coming into her house.
He succeeded and accelerated into her house, knowing that Gloria must be upset with him and herself for him making a fool out of her and her being not smart enough to take action before he won.
She closed the gate, accepting the situation but ready to scold Lucian for scaring her and entering her house without her permission.
