It was then just Gloria, Michael and Lucian in the restaurant because Hans and his wife left for the clinic.
Lucian paid the bills and didn't let Michael's hand go as he processed the payment. He knew that Gloria was finding a way to take Michael away from him but he was strongly against that.
"Do you wanna see some art with me at the museum before going home?" Lucian asked the little boy by his side who was licking the candy he bought for him.
"Yes!" Michael hopped next to Lucian, signalling for him to carry him. Lucian ignored the mother's disapproving expression and bent to carry the adorable child who wrapped his neck the moment he carried him.
"Lucian, I want to be strong like you," Michael said.
"And you'll be stronger, don't worry," Lucian patted his belly and stared at the pouty woman by his side.
He took her hand and dragged her to his side. Gloria scolded him with her eyes. Then he asked himself why he was holding back.
