Upon realizing how close their faces were, Mia didn't push back. She watched him stare at her as she continued to rub his temple with her finger.
Gabe's heart felt warm when he opened his eyes to see Mia. Her dark eyes were peering at him and he thought it was a dream.
Thus his eyes expressed no emotions. He just stared at her as if it was his first time.
Still not knowing what was really going on, Gabe pushed his face closer to hers only for Mia to close her eyes as she was expecting a kiss anywhere on her face.
However, Gabe wasn't aiming to kiss her, he wanted to feel her warm breath on his face. "I love you, Mia," his voice came out soft and smoky. Her heart then felt ticklish suddenly.
"I know," she answered without opening her eyes.
Gabe also had his eyes closed. "I lost to you," he said.
"I know."
"And I hate it, you know?"
Mia giggled. "I'm glad I didn't lose," she boasted.
