"Gabe!" She shouted and then proceeded her pace to his position as he turned to face her.
"My girlfriend found me," he grinned.
Mia wasn't taking it funny, she hit his arm and punched his chest which didn't hurt that much because her hands were soft and small and she was a girl.
Gabe stopped her by dragging her into his arms, he hugged her. "I miss you," he said.
Mia could hear the honesty in his voice. "Why didn't you come to me then?" She was still upset with him.
"I...just wanted to be alone," he answered after a long silence. "Can we just stay this way without talking? I feel weirdly sad."
Mia then stroke his back as she hugged him to comfort him. "My parents scolded me," he announced after a long silence.
"They did?" Mia asked, not knowing a fitting response to that. "Because of what happened?"
