Mia was suddenly lost when she met his eyes, Gabe also found himself stuck with her. They had thoughts but at this moment their thoughts didn't bother them, they just stared at each other for a while until loud noises jerked them out of the awkward yet comforting moment.
When Gabe looked away, he tried to return to reality and figure out where he was. After a minute, he realized that people cried out because his enemy won.
"I told you," Mia was disappointed that his enemy won but she didn't want to make it open to him. Gabe only nodded and watched the team play, he ignored the girl sitting next to him even though she asked him questions.
She then touched his shoulder. "You seem angry," her voice came out softly. She had also been blank when they stopped looking at each other until she noticed the opponent won.
"No," he responded without turning his gaze to her.
"Then answer my question," she pouted.
