"Can you leave us, Mia?" Luke asked after Isabella didn't react to their explanation about why they were giggling. Luke found it hard to accept the fact that he was getting along with Isabella's family slowly.
He was even able to laugh and grin because of Mia, the girl he had once disliked. Turned out she was one of a kind.
"Alright," she agreed and took one plate of chicken to her room.
After she left, Luke made Isabella sit on the chair Mia was sitting on.
"I know your hand isn't working so I'll set your dishes," he noticed her mood but asking about it would only make him affected. Perhaps she remembered her sister and was sad again so he should act naturally.
When he was done, Isabella lifted her gaze at him and stared into his eyes with an expressionless face. He failed to understand what her eyes said and what her face expressed until she looked away.
