Luke's statement caused Isabella to look away and stay quiet. It hurt her deep down to hear him say that and the more she thought about it the more she felt like tearing up.
For once he should understand her situation and stop making fun of her. Isabella didn't glance at him not even once and Luke didn't know what to say to make her consider those words taken back.
He now knew that he shouldn't have said that because she basically did that deed because of her dying sister.
And until they reached their destination, they didn't face each other or talked to each other. Isabella pushed the door open as she had sighted another car close by.
She walked straight to the trunk only to see men in suits rushing toward her. This caused her to look Luke's way but the man wasn't minding her, he was busy with his phone.
