Isabella questioned herself after she entwined her fingers with Luke's. She should have unlocked their fingers but she chose to hold his hand tightly and then she lifted her head to stare at his face.
Just at that moment, she felt his fingers clutch onto hers which was strange because he was asleep. She let his action on her hand take her attention and before she was able to look back at Luke to find a signal of what was going on, his body began to move.
