Lydia's eyes stared blankly at both of them before she dropped her gaze to the little boy she didn't notice at first because of her curiosity.
"I think we should talk more inside the house," she suggested and took the lead.
Lucian carried his son as Michael's legs were too small to keep up with their pace. Gloria followed him, plotting the way she was going to speak to her mother-in-law.
The next moment, they were seated in the same room as earlier. They were served drinks in silence and waited for someone to start a conversation that would lead to more explanation of the situation Lydia knew nothing about.
"My condolences, Mrs Ortega," Gloria spoke first. She was seated next to Lucian and after a deep thought, she realized that she needed to take a step and show her mother-in-law that she was perfect for her son.
