Davina was still conscious of the conversations going on around her, and she was even occasionally contributing to them, but her attention was mainly on Fiona as she inwardly willed her to look her way. Willed her to move her focus from that asshole, whoever he was, for just one fucking minute.
Then, suddenly, Fiona did and her eyes found hers. Davina could have sworn Fiona shuddered slightly, but then she gave her a cool, polite smile and returned her attention to the guy at her table.
