Chapter 23: Solo Clear(2)

With his sword painted silver with the wolf's dried blood, Aakesh charged at the group's supposed leader.

The wolf sensed danger coming from Aakesh, so it swiped its powerful claws, aiming to rip Aakesh apart. Aakesh was already ready for them, so he easily dodged the claws and slashed at the wolf.

The wolf attempted to dodge Aakesh's sword, but Aakesh was the quicker party, so the sword met with the wolf's skin. In no time, it pierced through the wolf's head, killing it instantly.

Even though it all happened so quickly, the wolves weren't slow creatures, so they had already surrounded Aakesh.

Aakesh ignored the wolf exploding into light particles, as he couldn't let him get hit by even a single wolf in this group.

Aakesh attempted to remain calm in this situation, but it was easier said than done. Aakesh's movement was quick as he slashed at the nearest wolf.

The other wolves seemed as if they had gotten their chances, so they pounced on Aakesh in large numbers. Aakesh's strikes should have been agile and precise, but he felt a large pressure on him at that moment, so his sword missed the wolf's vitals by an inch.

Still, his strike held so much power that it destroyed the wolf's insides, killing it instantly. Aakesh didn't want to see the wolf struggling in pain to the point of death, so his every strike was a killing strike.

His attributes were so strong that even though he consistently used a full-powered strike, his body didn't feel fatigued at this early hour.

Aakesh took the sword back and slashed vertically, splitting three wolves in two in a single strike.

At that moment, Aakesh's entire body had turned silver due to the blood. Aakesh felt uncomfortable in his heart, but since the situation was extremely dangerous, he kept it in his heart and fought back.

As the battle raged on, an area of a few meters had become dyed with silver. Aakesh used all that he learned in practice to win the battle.

[Level up!]

After Aakesh killed the seventh wolf, a chiming voice of Leveling up rang in his head. Aakesh ignored it and fully focused on the battle.

Even though Aakesh was feeling uncomfortable, his body was also getting accustomed to the scene.

[You have gained 1 XP!]

[You have gained 1 XP!]

[You have gained 1 XP!]

Sounds of gaining XP continuously rang as Aakesh killed wolves one after another.

Finally, with a strike, Aakesh killed the last of the group, killing more than ten wolves and emerging victorious.

Aakesh couldn't help but take the support of a tree to stand as his insides were churning after seeing the gore spread on the ground.

Aakesh pinched his nose because the smell of the blood was making him nauseous. An uncomfortable expression spread across his face as he saw the coins lying on the ground in a pool of blood.

For a moment, Aakesh thought of giving up on the coins since he could earn more. But since it was his reward, his legs didn't move.

Aakesh closed his mouth and tightly pinched his nose, then began to pick the coins out using the other hand.

Aakesh then used the leaves to clean the coins and placed them in his pocket. Aakesh then counted the total number of XP he had gained in this hunt.

If not for leveling up, Aakesh would have gained more than five hundred XP. But after leveling up, his level was equivalent to that of the wolves, so he only gained one XP after every kill.

Aakesh moved farther from the area and began to clean him as much as he could. He at least wanted the smell to go away.

Aakesh then proceeded forward and didn't come across any wolves for the next few minutes.

***

Puchi!

Aakesh's sword pierced through the boss wolf's skin as it tried to defend itself. Aakesh added force to his attack, and the blade pushed ahead.

Howl!

The wolf howled in pain as the opponent turned out to be overwhelmingly powerful. When it had seen the opponent, it had felt that it would be an easy dinner for it since the opponent was only Level 5, while it was Level 6.

But as the battle raged on, the wolf found out that the opponent was too powerful for it to fight back.

As the wolf was howling in pain, Aakesh decided to end its life. Aakesh withdrew the blade and slashed at its head.

The wolf seemed to be relieved as it saw the coming attack. It didn't try to fight back; it let the sword hit it.

[You have gained 50 XP!]

Aakesh couldn't help but marvel at the sentience of even the lowest-level beasts. Bestial instinct was to save itself no matter what the situation, but here the wolf seemed relieved.

The next moment, the wolf exploded into light particles, and a familiar shining object appeared on the ground.

Aakesh couldn't help but groan in disappointment as he found the item to be the Wolf Whisperer Amulet.

'Do all solo clears of this dungeon reward this amulet?' Aakesh couldn't help but think.

As Aakesh picked up the amulet, a white light surrounded him, and he disappeared from the dungeon and appeared outside.

The officer soon noticed Aakesh as people moved away from him. He looked human when he had gotten in, but now Aakesh looked to be a savage as he was dyed in the wolf's blood.

'Should I go for a tough difficulty?' Aakesh reflected as he felt no challenge from the normal difficulty.

But after a second, Aakesh decided to attempt the dungeon sometime later. He needed to clean up and clear his head because his current state frustrated him. He wanted to get rid of the bloody smell and the blood-filled clothes.

Aakesh also decided to buy new clothes and a sword for himself. He had two amulets, so it would be better for him to sell one and use the proceeds to buy himself some necessities. Aakesh believed that it would sell for a lot since it was a town surrounded by wolves.

The officer on duty approached Aakesh, but he seemed to have other things on his mind, so he ignored the officer and left the area.
