[After receiving (and not listening) to the information given to him by the LumberJack, Aiden set out to places unknown, he kept skipping innocently forward with his bags of goods close to his chest and whistling a joyful tune.]
[When left to his sense of direction he would get hopelessly lost and his family would probably set up a search party looking for him sooner or later, but for now, he didn't care about being lost he just whimsically skipped through the marble road without a care in the world whilst whistling.]
[As he walked he accidentally bumped into someone he couldn't see, "Oof" was what he heard when the person fell, Aiden was merely momentarily stunned by the impact. When he recalled the groan of what he hit it sounded like the voice of a female, But when he looked around he couldn't find where the sound came from nor what he hit.]
["Owww" The girl groaned again. Aiden got terrified as he couldn't see where it was coming from then started jittering vigorously.]
Aiden: AHH! A ghost?! AHHH! A GHOST!!!
[People were staring at him as he was making a scene and thought that he was being hysterical then paid him no mind as they went about the end of their day.]
Aiden: I-I-I hit a ghost!! Does that mean I'll get cursed forever??! No, No, No, No!! I'm too young to be cursed! I'll just have to destroy it along with this entire area!! ["Wait, wait, wait! I'm not a ghost! Please don't kill me!!" were words of begging coming from the spot Aiden was about to destroy] [Aiden's hand was already completely engulfed in a vicious bright red flame, he was about to go all out and completely exorcise this paranormal being but was immediately stopped by the female's voice that came nothing.] Aiden: Hm... I'm not buying it! DIE—! ["Ahhh! Please don't shoot! I am still alive!" As those sorrow-filled words escaped her mouth the emptiness became filled with that of a young girl.] Aiden: Hm...Ohhhh! it's just you, Phew, I was scared there for a second. I'm sorry. Hahaha. [Aiden laughed heartily as what was there wasn't the hasty conclusion he came to but it was just a girl who happened to be invisible. The girl began to giggle nervously then proceeded to apologize for scaring] ["I-I'm sorry to have scared you." she apologized for the inconvenience] [Though still shaken she managed to let out the apology, she must have felt Aiden's strong magical output which made her still nervous even though she made an honest mistake. But while on the topic she asked him a question jokingly.] ["B-but you weren't really about to annihilate me and this area were you? You were joking, right?" She asked in a sheeple voice] Aiden: Y-yeah, yeah, sure, I was totally joking about it. Hahahaha! I can't possibly be that dumb. Hahahahaha! [Lying with every breath he avoided eye contact while scratching the back of his head vigorously, Virin just stared at him suspecting he wasn't telling the truth] ["You were, weren't you?" She replied in a sarcastic tone but still spoke in a shy manner] to Aiden: Hehe, A-anyway... [He avoided the question with a nervous smile plastered onto his face and stretched out his hand to help her up as when they both collided she fell to the ground, she was a petite young girl to explain why she fell while he was merely stunned. She was about Aiden's age, was a little shorter than he was, and wore a knitted brownish-red scarf around her neck that covered her mouth reaching under her nose. Her hair was light violet and her beautiful eyes were light purple which gave off a mysterious aura off her but her demeanor differed. Aiden smiled and introduced himself to her as helped her up] Aiden: Yo, I'm Aiden Brightfil'. Nice to meetcha! [She widened her eyes in surprise at his gesture of kindness but then squinted a bit as the rays of light from the setting sun reflected into her eyes. Virin put her hand in his then he gently helped her up.] ["I'm...Virin." she replied] Aiden: Once again, nice to meetcha. Hope you weren't hurt or anything were you? Virin:... Aiden: Hm? Virin: Oh nothing. It's just my former impression of you was that you were a scum. ["Scum" wouldn't be too far off course in what one would call Aiden, as what he was planning to do with the demi-sisters while they were unconscious before he changed his mind was still lingering in his thoughts but he couldn't recall what he did to this girl that made him call him that, then he released a dumb sound from his mouth and started to stammer]. Aiden: U-uh, E-eh? S-scum, yo-you weren't there were you? [Aiden began sweating profusely as he thought she did witness his scummy moment with the girls but she replied] Virin: I've seen you before at the exams. Y-you were naked and then you fell on me and grabbed my breast. [While the visible part of her face turned red retelling the tale of their first encounter, Aiden became ghostly pale as he recalled that event did occur. Aiden drove his head into the ground and then began to apologize profusely, whilst continually slamming his head into the ground.] [The countless eyes were now focused on Virin and the thoughts going through the people were something like; "Why's that kid damaging his head in front of her?" "He probably did something wrong" "Probably got her pregnant and wants no part of it or something" "Shoulda went to the Demi-den kid." The judging stares of the people made Virin very uncomfortable, she just wanted to turn invisible and run away from that spot but unfortunately, there was someone there making a fool out of himself because of her] Virin: C'mon Aiden stand up! Pleaasseee! [She begged him to stop but the idiot would listen and kept slamming, When she raised her head and looked side to side people had begun gathering around them due to Aiden's display. She got embarrassed then covered her face with her scarf then begged Aiden to stop. She didn't like being looked at or being the center of attention but it seemed Aiden doesn't mind at all] Virin: It's okay! It's okay! I-I'm not mad! Please stand up! Everyone's watching! please!! [Aiden stopped slamming his head then looked around and saw everyone staring at him with a bit of concern in their expressions, but he just laughed it off] Aiden: Hehe, maybe I overdid it a little. [He stood up and dusted his clothes and face off. He then picked up the bag of goods his mother gave him and acted like nothing went wrong the whole time, he ignored the group of people and then faced Virin to confirm something] Aiden: You... don't think I'm scum anymore, right? Virin: Oh, I do b-but you shouldn't act like this in public! [Her high embarrassed voice couldn't make this sound as serious as she wanted it to but it's all she could muster. Aiden felt bad about her answer but he didn't look shaken and kept on his ever-bright smiling countenance.] Aiden: I messed up, huh. Well, I'll just go home for today, I'll be sure to get you to forgive me. [Aiden wanted to leave but noticed that Virin was frozen in place because she couldn't get past the people still staring at them, she was a timid girl, the reason she went invisible in the first place was that she didn't like being seen, but though of she didn't become opaque, she would have probably perished in flames from a certainly scared idiot. She retracted her face into her scarf more to hide it from the people, Aiden took notice of this and dispersed the crowd for her.] Aiden: Yeah, Yeah, nothing to see here, Scram! The lot of ya! [The crowd quickly dispersed while murmuring and went back to either their shops for late-night sales or headed home, Hence leaving the two teenagers alone. Virin looked at Aiden from behind as he dispersed the crowd and muttered words of gratitude] Virin: T-thank you. [Though she didn't intend on letting him hear it, he did and muttered] Aiden: You're welcome. [It was getting late, he didn't notice yet but during the time he talked, apologized, and dispersed it was already late and the sun had settled. The moon was seen over their heads as it casts its blue soft glow in the atmosphere] Aiden: I guess you can go home yourself now right? Virin: Yeah. T-thank you scum, er, I mean Aiden. [She accidentally let a thought slip but he awkwardly laughed it off] Aiden: Hehe. [Aiden slowly walked ahead then turned his head over his shoulder, gave a closed eyes smile while tilting his head slightly to the left at her, then faced forward again then walk away till he wasn't in her view again] Virin: He wasn't all bad... ?! [She thought out loud and then her face turned grim as she remembered something crucial] Virin: I'm late! I better get back to—! Aiden: Hi, again! Virin: Ahhhh!! H-huh?! Where did you come from?! [Spooked by the boy who suddenly appeared out of nowhere, she gave a loud Yelp while asking where he came from as she previously recalled that Aiden had already gone ahead, but now he was behind her!] Aiden: Hmm... it turns out I'm still lost. Hm, Hm! I even met Lum again and he gave me directions again and I still ended up here... again. Crazy, right? Haha. [After he left it turned out he went around in circles and met, LumberJack, at the Adventurer's guild again and asked for directions to get back home again and he ended up here...again! "Lum" the cute new nickname he thought of for the "LumberJack" didn't fit his posterity at all, Lumberjack, was a tall man who carried heavy axes he swung like light twigs, his muscles bulging and his face thickened by a black beard was practically oozing masculinity but Aiden didn't care about all that and just gave him dubbed him "Lum" a name that sounds like the exact opposite of what was described.] [When she heard why he returned, her thoughts, turned to "How did he return so fast?" "How he could move around the neighborhood so fast and get directions so fast while I was still contemplating moving?" But pushed those thoughts to the back of mind.] Virin: do you know your way back? Aiden: Sure! I take the... uhm... then I follow the....uhm... I head toward over the... Hm... I still don't know!! And my mum's gonna kill me when I get home late!! Sigh... I should probably eat these cookies as my last supper. Virin: Don't Tell me... you still don't know...? [After she heard his pitiful attempt to recall directions given to him not too long ago she couldn't leave him alone because now she knows he'll get hopelessly lost. But she knew she was short on time so she couldn't help him out. She had her priorities] Virin: I'm lea— [While Aiden's back was turned to her she was about to sneak away until...] Aiden: Hmm, So if I take a left then another left, then a right then take a .. Ehh....? [Hearing Aiden mumbling unknown directions to himself in the background and getting confused by them, she realized that he might go missing if she left him alone so she made a decision.] Virin: W-would you like some help? [She said with her eyes closed tightly in a high-pitched voice as she wasn't very used to conversing] [Aiden faced her his eyes lit up in excitement] Aiden: Really?! You'll help?! I'm saved!! Virin: Right... but I have to be somewhere so would you come with me for a bit...? If you want to that is...! I'm not telling you what to do or anything, I, um, just have something to do so I want to finish that first... if that's alright? [Aiden could understand she was nervous but didn't pay her excessive chatter any mind and gave a nod in agreement] Virin: Uh, er, No, Uhm, I meant that I would take you home or at least to a place you recognize, I-I didn't mean anything by it, I have an errand to finish b-but I couldn't just leave you like alone like this. Y-you don't have to come if you don't want to. Aiden:? [She was still endlessly prattling on, she must have noticed his nod. Or was nervous a boy is about to walk with her at night? Whatever her reason was Aiden nodded again continuously for her to understand she doesn't need more explanation] Aiden: Okay, then. Let's go. Where are you headed? Virin: The Red-light district. Aiden: ?! [Mara's face flashed in Aiden's head when he heard her reply, he remembered that his win at the competition made all the females who participated to be permanently barred from ever returning to Agrath's academy, though he also knew his wish would revoke that rule but other than himself and Henry Wiston, no one else knew. He knew that she would be upset about losing so after Virin was done with whatever she wanted to do he would go pay Mara a quick visit] [He saw this as an opportunity to go talk to her so agreed to go with Virin and they both left] . . . . . [They both walked side by side along the empty lanes of the city, a beautifully lit cool night, one that is illuminated by the bright full moons, stars twinkling in the sky, and a cool breeze that carries the smell of the night.] [In this world 4 different moons were at full display, they cast a soft glow over the landscape, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Aiden wanted to question how the geography of this world was still in balance with 4 moons hanging above their heads but he knew logic wasn't really necessary when he himself doesn't follow logic, he could shoot fireballs from his hands, fight a giant fish and win, take a gun to the head and survive and perform other impossible feats an average human could only dream of, so he kept that thought to himself.] [The stars sparkled in the night sky, creating a mesmerizing display. The cool breeze was refreshing and calming, it blew over the two of them and their hair was swaying to it, the night was filled with the sound of crickets and other nocturnal creatures.] [The air is crisp and clean, and the night is peaceful and quiet. The sky is filled with a million tiny points of light, and the moonlight casts a gentle glow over everything. The night is peaceful and serene, and the cool air is a welcome respite from the heat of the day.] [Aiden whilst enjoying the breeze noticed that Virin was rubbing her arms trying to warm them up] Aiden: You're cold, huh. Virin: Yeah, but don't worry I'm fine. Aiden: You're pretty lightly dressed to be out in the city. Do you live close by? Virin: Sorta. [The breeze blew again but this time it was a bit stronger and the scarf she was wearing got blown away before she could catch it and fell over the bridge they were passing] Virin: Oh, no! [Aiden ran forward jumped over and caught the scarf before it fell into the water and held on to a part of the bridge so he himself wouldn't get soaked] [He pulled his arm and flew above her head before landing by the side of her, he then offered her her scarf back] Aiden: Here ya go. Virin: T-thanks. [Aiden nodded then wrapped the scarf around her.] [He forcibly painstakingly tried making a small flame in his hand, one that wasn't as big as his head nor too hot that it'd be considered an attack. Since he couldn't control his magic all that well this was a highly difficult task for him but he somehow managed to perform it. Why he was doing it? He wanted to do the "gentleman act" it's his version of "giving her your coat when she's cold" but instead of taking off his like a normal person, he wants to create a nice atmosphere for her. Because god-forbid taking off his coat would be too much of a hassle!] [And finally, a little ball of light was made, it slowly moved closer to her to warm her up, the gentle red glow of the ember reflected off her face. Aiden's POV This feels like a date... Not like I've ever been in one before. Heh, I remember back then, I was indifferent about couples and why someone would spend so much to impress someone else... Hm... And now that I'm doing this... I feel... something warm... but are these my actual feelings... or hers...? [He pondered something serious for a moment but decided to push those thoughts aside as he and Virin were finally entering... The red light district]
