Hearing that Rex needed to find a way to keep track of the lich. He decided to try and technique that he had once used before but was deemed useless because he was body cultivator at the time.
"Forced Qi into this coin"
Rex spoke as he tried to force Qi into the coin. This was the first step of the process.
"Remember a symbol on the coin"
Rex forged an arrow that would point in a certain direction.
"Qi Technique: Forced Tracker"
As the finishing touches were put on it. Rex felt a massive headache from trying this Technique. It was not because it was truly mind breaking, it did not consume a lot of Qi, but it forced the concentration of the Technique to the upmost limit of all cultivators.
First, making the symbol with the Qi is not hard but not easy depending on the symbol. Forcing the Qi into the coin or other small object is rough but not very long.
The truly hardest part was for the Qi to be laced into the symbol and for it to be set in before everything goes black and the cultivator fails the Technique.
This is where almost everyone fails. Even when being taught, cultivators are told not to worry about failing because everyone either has or will fail upon trying the Technique.
Even with that being done, the next part is the true test of the tracking. If the Qi in the coin will stay once the coin is handed away.
As the coin was handed to the lich, the coin degraded into dust. The lich was saddened by this. Rex knew that this was not the biggest lost. The other women were waiting to see what they were doing.
Rex used Demonic Qi to try and keep the coin together. Even after the second try, the coin still degraded into nothingness.
"Try this stone." The other lady spoke.
Rex Forced his normal Qi into the stone. The stone glowed a slight blue. Then the glow went away once the stone was handed to the lich. The stone did not fade away into nothingness.
"How did the stone not fade away?" Rex asked.
"Oh simple, you need something bigger to hold the Qi in. Granted with someone of equal Qi or strength the coin could survive. When someone is stronger in either aspect the coin does not survive. That coin also needs a little Qi from the person who got it to survive as well. Most people honestly do not know about it." The elder spoke in a loving tone.
Rex understood that something was wrong when the people taught him how it was supposed to be.
"Why do people not know about this?" Rex asked.
"Because most humans do not try to track people stronger or weaker than them without having the ability to track properly instead of using objects." The elder replied in her loving tone.
This made sense to Rex. It was still hard to wrap his head around the fact that even the top sects do not try to track everyone.
"Alright. Now that I have a way to track you. What is the last ritual that you need to watch?" Rex asked.
Rex knew that the lich needed to watch another ritual but nothing was said about the actual ritual only that the lich needed to watch death.
"The last ritual is about death of a strong individual. As for now strong, even I do not know. Of it is just stronger than me, almost anyone would do. I truly don't believe in that." The lich frowned as he spoke.
Rex took that to heart. He honestly did not know who could actually die being decently strong.
"Alright. We can deal with this later." Rex said.
As Rex spoke, the elder could feel the life of the lake slowly going towards the other two ladies.
"Well, we have a person who can allow the lich to watch. Although, we will be upset about it." The elder still spoke lovingly.
Everyone turned their attention to the elder. They almost all realized what they were talking about.
"I am sorry that this has happened after such a marvelous event." Rex bowed.
"Do not be sad, Grandfather. I have lived a great life and had a marvelous event. Besides, I got to meet such wonderful people being around you. Although, I hate to be watched by a lich. I will gladly be watched in order for you to put in end to these evil."
When Rex heard that, he was solidified his position to finish off the evil liches and necromancers.
As the others heard that, they were saddened that she was more worried about wiping out evil. That was her choice but the others were not happy about it.
Rex wanted her to live. He did not know how to do it. The look in his eyes made the elder know that he wanted her to live. She wanted to know how he would try to make her live longer.
