As Gremory walked up, her nerves about being in front of so many people were not even bothered. She was nervous about being beside Rex and the ruler.
"Just another day like normal." She repeated until she was between them.
As she stared into the crystal. She felt the hopes of the people on her shoulders.
"Today, I, daughter of the Gremory Family Branch, the future Goddess of War under the command of the Demon King of Annihilation, wish to present my myself to each and everyone of you.
I have slaughtered our own due to greed and family needs. Some deserving of death, others not so much, I have walked into places that people should not enter, I have seen the wonders of our Race. Yet, I still feel empty. Nothing matters as much as living in the present and going forward.
I still live in the past. I have tried hard to provide for my family. I lost family members because of selfish reasons. Now, only I am felt from the Gremory Branch.
So please not from the kindness of our hearts, not from the evil that we wish to bring upon our return, but from the lives of our Ancestors to prove that we will be better like we always should have been.
Help me to prove to everyone that we the Fae Devils will provide War against those who wish to harm our families, make our Ancestors sad, trample upon our grounds, and showcase the evil of our world and Realm because our opponents will be too selfish to stand up to us afterwards."
Rex could feel the determination growing in the people.
"I have nothing but this chance. How many others only have this chance?"
Rex knew that the grand finale was about to happen.
"I know people never give us chances because we are the embodiment of evil. Let me prove to them, that Evil is needed to rein in Wars. I will fight in this war not just for my chance but for the Ancestors who valued their freedom from this hell hole of ours! For those who have perished because they were too weak and died because of it! Stand with me now, Brethen! Let me feel your determination to slaughter all who wish to slander our name!"
The crowd began cheering their names of the trio. The ruler cried for the first time in a long time that he could remember. Astarte felt she had accomplished what Rex wanted. Rex felt that this day would signal a celebration that would rock the Fae Devil Community.
"My friends, family, neighbors!"
The cheering slowed down.
"We may not have the grandest celebration but we will celebrate today will a great memory in mind. That today, we the Fae Devil Community will once again fight with everything we have and will have.
So every town, I know this is short notice but prepare enough games and food to make a good night. Yes, we will suffer from doing this but we will be able to strive for a great time afterwards."
The ruler felt that this would cause enough backlash to help him settle. Rex knew that there was something that he could have done differently. Yet, seeing and hearing the crowd. He felt that they deserved to do this celebration on their own.
"Tomorrow we will leave at noon. We will wait till we have enough for the count to enter the Nine Realms as a single legion. If more show up closer to time while we do not have enough, we will wait till one and no later.
If we have more than enough, I will have a screening done in the Demon Realm to either have the weakest come back or join another legion. Remember, being weak is not something to be ashamed of. Being weak and not doing anything about it is." Rex told the Fae Devils.
All around the Fae Devil Community, people were putting up betting rings to fight and showcase themselves. Other spots, children games were being done.
Every game from kill the intruder to show off the great nakedness was done. The great nakedness was a proving ground for young boys who wanted multiple wives. Yet, they were almost laughed at.
They were still able to afford some attention. This is now most of the Ancient Fae Devils are created and the Nobility Fae Devils.
Every child began their games before six that night. All the adults who wanted to fight kept fighting until they either were completely knocked out or too exhausted to continue.
Meals were brought to the families. It was more like a giant meal with plenty of sides. Some families shared their meals with their neighbors and close friends to bring more joy to the community.
This simple act alone saved a lot of food for the Community. Yet, as the night pressed. Rex felt more lonely now than he could tell. Even with Astarte by his side, he knew how lonely he was right now.
"Tomorrow I will return and with a good surprise." Rex thought.
Astarte tried her best to comfort Rex. Rex just glanced out the window and into the grand unknown.
"Was it wrong for me to choose a Race over the Worlds and Realms that could have survived?" Rex asked.
Astarte did not know what to say.
"Honestly, I do think so. Otherwise, your journey up to this point would have been different correct?" Astarte replied.
Rex thought about the boring journey through the Realms. Now he would have to actually go piece by piece correctly through the Realms and never get to have done the stuff he could have.
"Thank you. That alone tells me how much I truly needed to hear that." Rex replied.
Even though the Fae Devils were not Faeries but being a subspecies in the Fae Race. Rex was ready to venture back and explore the Nine Realms with a better mindset.
