Chapter 644 - Chapter 642 Do I need to help?

As Rex entered the house, he saw the boy sitting in the floor. He was quite surprised at the way he was sitting because it looked like an old time samurai talking with someone.

"What is wrong?" Rex asked the boy.

"Nothing. We were having a simple discussion. Please just find your items and go." The boy said in a plain tone.

The girl was fuming but kept her joyful face.

"Alright. If you want help, do not wait till I am gone to call me." Rex said.

Rex went into the kitchen to try and find an item that was not left behind. Until he did find three items left behind but decided to hide them better for one of them to come in help.

"Hey, can one of you come in and help me find the item that Zahida was missing please? I do not have any idea what it looked like." Rex asked nicely.

"Sure." The girl responded.

She came in and told Rex to look in the bedroom while she looked there. Rex thanked her.

He went in and saw the boy still sitting in that position. He decided to nudge the boy to come with him. The boy decided to allow Rex to get him but he remembered exactly where he sat at and how he was sitting.

The girl could have sworn that the items she knew that were left were moved. She did not know who moved them or if there was a purpose on moving them.

"Time to look harder." She declared.

Meanwhile

"Let us have a little chat." Rex said.

The boy not in the mood to argue sat down beside Rex.

"Your facial expressions were saying that you were extremely mad or that you needed something very important to be dealt with. Is there anything I can help you with?" Rex's sweet talk got inside the boy's head.

"Have you ever heard of premarriage gifting?" The boy asked.

"I have it is called betrothal gift. It is ancient custom in some worlds. While some people still want it in their worlds and others use it in certain aspects of cultivation. Why what is up?" Rex asked.

"I was betrothed to that girl. When my parents died, that girl fought hard to keep me in the family instead of kicking me out. I wanted to leave so bad, I tried many ways but got forced by her to come back. Yet, now that we have the chance to separate. She does not want to because of the work she put in." The boy almost in tears replied.

Rex held him close and said, "She worked hard to make sure that you could life a good life, correct?"

The boy thought about and said, "Probably not. It was to honor the ancestors of my world that she probably did."

"Does she want to leave now?"

The boy thought about, "Either she wants the marriage to continue or she is just stubborn now because we left our world by chance."

Rex was surprised to hear that from the boy. He already knew the story but the boy went through it anyways.

"Tough times always call for strong men and women. Who do you believe was stronger in your world?" Rex asked.

The boy thought about it hard. He had not thought about it too hard until now. He finally decided to speak.

"I guess in a sense she was stronger to keep us together. I was stronger on the fact of allowing it to desolve."

"Which would make your parents happy now?"

"Honestly, they would do everything in their power to keep us both happy."

The girl listened through the walls how the boy spoke to Rex easily. She wondered how he was able to do it so smoothly.

"If your parents did not die, would you still be with her right now or no?"

The boy looked sad because he knew the answer would hurt him speaking it. "Yes. They would have either talked to me or her about my behavior."

Rex held the boy closer to him. He did not want this conversation to end on a bad note but the truth does hurt.

"I believe that coming here was not a random chance of anything. I believe that they wanted to help you get to a better place. Whatever choices you made or the actions that was done. All of it, truly all of it lead you and her here. Being in a good place does not mean that you would have honestly enjoyed a good and relaxing life. If your parents had not died, you could say that she might have been in your shows but your parents would have worked hard on keeping the marriage together.

Here, both of you have to work hard. Here, both of you will have more responsibilities and better lives. Will you two eventually marry? Who knows. Do not think on those things right now. Focus on getting stronger together, in the future if your hearts truly want to meld. They will. If you truly want to keep single, you will. At least give her a chance here while she cannot fight with anyone else to keep you to herself."

The boy listened close to Rex. He knew the truth behind the words but he did not want to listen to them. As the boy felt stabs in his heart, the girl felt her heart being swayed by Rex's words.

"Come on now. We need to find the item that Zahida was looking for."

The duo looked through the room. Finally, an item left behind in the corner of the closet was gotten.

"Alright let us see if she found the item." The boy replied happily.

The girl tried her best to quietly and quickly go back into the kitchen. She successfully made it in before Rex and the boy both walked down the stairs.

The boy went back to where he was. Rex decided to let it play out. He walked to the kitchen and all three of the items were found.

The duo walked into the living room.

"Let me say this once and once only." The boy spoke.

Both of people standing listened closely.

"I will not allow my heart to be swayed by words only, Master Rex. So if that girl decides to marry me, she will have to work harder than before to get my attention. That is my final decision. If she does not want it, I am fine with it. We will stay in this house rather become married or not.

If we need to leave for a period, we can always leave and return. That is my final decision on this. What are your thoughts?"

"They are not the greatest but they are yours and she can try if she truly wants the marriage to continue."

Thus started the ways to improve the First Realm and how the girl truly won the heart of the boy.
