As the duo found their way, they ended up spending the rest of the day making a makeshift camp beside the mountain.
"This is truly a good way to spend the time outside." War God said.
The way she said it was so sexy that even in a normal tone that she used. Rex could not help but find it even more amusing. Yet, that tone instinctively made him hard.
"Ugh" he thought as the tightness began to become uncomfortable.
War God somehow knowing what she did. She began to lay down on his lap to ease his pain.
Rex just gently patted her. This truly made her wish that she had become one of his earlier.
"How I wish to enjoy the sun with you more?" She spoke.
Rex felt that this was not lie but her tone seemed to betray her. She moved her head back a little more.
"The words are not a lie but the tone is. I wonder why that is. Worry, no. Love, a very slim possibility but still no. Peace, more of a possibility but still no. Enjoyment, that is a definite yes but what else?" Rex thought in a more distinctive manner.
She stopped moving her head upon resting close to the belly. Granted all she would have to do is turn around and she could do what she wants with the meaty vein. She chose not to right now.
This is why her tone betrayed her. She did wish to spend more time in the sun but that is for exercising with the lower half of their bodies.
Knowing how protective he was to his Soul Mate. She knew that if he ever did anything to harm the relationship, the downfall would end on her shoulders.
As piece by piece began to fall into place into War God's mind. Rex finally saw what she meant. He could not find fault with her because this was something that even Georgiana could not fight against with Zahida.
Due to that, Rex still wanted her to be safe. He decided to allow her to get some proper rest first.
"Rest. Right now this will be the most comfortable bed you might get." Rex told her.
She looked at him knowing that he was going to stay awake while she rested. It might be okay with other Battle Maidens around but none were here. She would not hear the end of it.
"I have a duty to stay awake while the Master Rests! Please allow me to stay awake." She turned to his face.
Rex smiled and patted her head. He knew this was how the traditional Battle Maiden would be treated. He was not trying to stay the traditional route with his Soul Mate, Wives, and Battle Maidens.
"Listen, we have too much of an area to cover. I cannot afford to always be watching both of our backs. I need you to be at your best. At least so that way I can be safe here." Rex told her.
War God smiled. She felt how sincere Rex was. That sincereness was allowing her family to stay close to him. Yet, all the ways she tried to think around his statement ended with her being defeated still.
'I guess this is my loss.' She defeatedly looked now.
"Do not worry. I promise to stay up and watch. I know you did not have a comfortable sleep." Rex told her.
She went over to their stack of weird shaped leaves and grass. She found a comfortable spot and began to sleep.
Rex looked in a direction of several eyes glowing. Rex was ready to fight when the beasts slowly emerged but still stood a ways away.
Each beast looking like it had fought and lost something major. Rex motioned for one to come over. What seemed like the weakest of the group came over.
This beast could have been sworn to be a snow leopard from Earth. It laid down in Rex's lap. Rex began to slowly inject Qi into it.
This Qi helped it not only recover but grow a few inches.
Happy, it snuggled around Rex. Seeing the joyous nature of the young one. A couple others came over.
As the next two got healed and filled much better. They two wanted to snuggle around Rex.
Three others came from the darkness. They found Rex's healing a miracle. They stood watch over the camp. The last two came over and began to get their healing.
By the time that the entire family of snow leopards got healed. Rex found himself drifting into the world of sleep. Thankfully, somehow he still did not manage to completely fall over.
As the snow leopards all watched the camp.
They began to talk amongst themselves.
"He is truly a one of a kind man." The youngest said.
"Please be quiet. You got us into this mess." One of the two from the last spoke.
"Now, we did try to protect all of you but instead each of is got hurt because of us. We cannot live if you all get any more hurt." The other one spoke from the last.
"Well, it is quite a weird situation we are in. Barely able to protect what we had to but we were still allowed to leave from our former Master's side. I miss him dearly. Yet, I feel like he was destined to protect us until this human came." One of the three spoke.
"Alright. We can speak later, you all rest." The second one from early spoke.
As peace entered the camp so did snores of pleasant dreams. As the group of snow leopards began to swiftly sleep.
The two eldest whom was standing guard knew that it was only a matter of time for them. They enjoyed the fleeting moments of the night together.
As the morning dawned on the camp. The two eldest saw War God awake with a fury of battle within her. Yet, the smoothing snores from Rex told her how at peace he was.
When she looked at the two who stood guard they had already laid down beside each other and fell asleep never to awake again.
