As the trio walked into the house. The first thing that Rex noticed was the amount of heads on the walls. Everything from a human to beastman to demon and every kind of animal imagination. Rather they were from Earth, other forms of fiction, to even strange alien type of heads.
"Such a wide variety of kills have happened." Rex said with a slight tone of happiness.
"Would you like to go hunting with us?" The first devil like creature asked.
"Yes, let us go hunting." The second one replied.
Rex got a notification.
"Go hunting with devils from another world. You will be able to experience the joys of Demon Kings in other worlds."
"Requirements to be able to go hunting: Blessings from their Master and to get the Master in a recovery state."
Rex was alright with the Quest and its requirements. He knew that was why he was here.
"We can once we can see your Master in a recovery state." Rex had a commanding voice.
"We are sorry for the delay. Please follow us." The first devil said.
"We are indeed sorry for trying to overstep the perimeters of your mission." The second one hurriedly spoke in sorrow.
"Everything is fine. We just need to hurry." Rex spoke normally.
The two little devils both felt that Rex was a good person. So they allowed him to see the house for what it really was.
The medical building appearance on the outside slightly shifted to that of a prison. Inside the house the walls became bars holding back dangerous cultivators and beasts.
Amongst the prisoners, only one gave Rex a dreadful feeling. He stopped and tried to find the one that was giving it to him. Once Rex was able to actually locate the thing. Every cultivator and beast around tried to block the view.
"MOVE OR I WILL SLAUGHTER EACH OF YOU LIKE PIGS!" Rex's Demonic side let out.
The terror that the cultivators and beasts felt was on par with the thing that they were blocking.
When the unblocking came. A brown cloak could be seen on a person. Rex felt that the person was able to be of use in the Quest to heal the Master of the house.
"What is your name?" Rex asked.
There was no reply, however a slight tension in the air became apparent.
In a blink of an eye, Rex had the person by the throat. Even the person was shocked because there should have not been anyway that this could have happened.
The person tapped the hand around their throat. Rex slowly released the throat. This was to show that he was not going to harm the person.
"So, tell me what is your name?" Rex asked.
"I have long forgotten my name. I stood at the pinnacle of power and had whatever I wanted. I was never a greedy woman and is how I ended up." The woman spoke.
"Mister! Please do not anger her. We cannot afford her wrath." The first devil spoke.
"Mister please keep moving. She is someone who we cannot anger." The second devil followed.
"I have a position open if you truly want to leave this place. What will determine if you can or not is the Master accepting it." Rex tried to offer refuge.
"I will follow you either way." She replied.
"Lead us to an exit for her." Rex turned and spoke.
"Only the Master can open the door!" The first devil spoke hurriedly.
"Yes! Only she can open the door!" The second devil followed.
"Just lead us." Rex said.
The group followed the devils. This was more nerve wrecking for the prisoners than the devils. They believed that their Master would not allow this person to leave no matter what. Something deep inside their conscious told them that she was leaving. Right beside the quarters that the Master was in was the door to the prisoners.
Since none of the prisoners tried to actively fight them. Rex already knew that this person was indeed the key to solving the mystery about the Master.
He had even gotten a notification about the person being related to the Quest. Rex did not give it any attention as he saw that the door was either already unlocked or that the Master had unlocked it.
"Step out." Rex said.
The woman stepped out. Rex closed the door. However, the door did not lock. The prisoners were happy.
"Try to leave and your blood will fill the hallway." Rex made his attention clear.
The other prisoners were extremely mad. Yet, with the most powerful one out. They could wait to attempt a jailbreak.
What the prisoners did not know was that the door could only be opened from the outside. One could not open it from the inside because of the locking mechanism. It would be able to find where the person was standing to open the door. This would cause the prisoners to go insane about the door unable to be opened.
Inside the Master Bedroom
A woman laid on the bed barely able to breath now. Yet, her room still had a huge amount of beauty to it.
"I see you were able to become free." The Master chuckled.
"Indeed, I did. How are you feeling?" The woman replied.
"Too weak. I need nourishment from our world." The Master spoke.
Rex and the two devils were stunned to hear such words. This broke all the knowledge he thought about the legendary people in the Realms.
"My house has become a prison, a house of terror and a terrorizing building at that. Yet, you wanted to help me even when I was unable to help you. I am sorry for that, even now I cannot repay you for all the help you have given me." The Master said.
"Not to worry little girl, I will help you recover. I do need permission to stay by his side." She pointed to Rex.
"Whatever you want, you shall receive." The Master replied.
