Since La Vie was now the target of the eyes. It honestly could not force her because of her cultivation. It seems mundane that the Stairway leads challenges only to find someone with a higher cultivation in the Mortal Realms.
It is not the first time it has happened and will not be the last. In order to get permission to use La Vie's body. The eyes had to talk to the Evil lurking deep within her.
Why is it an Evil? No one truly understands the power behind them. Beings full of life and death yet they take the role of being an Evil. They do not care about it nor do they hold the cultivators accountable for that. They just have to keep up their roles.
La Vie's Evil is supposed to keep the matters of Life in check. Yet, her equal is the Deathholder's Evil. Although, the Deathholder Family is known for its ability to die twice. If the Evil inside the son was to fully develop, he could die any number of times without using his family's ability.
As the Evil in La Vie truly felt blessed to have such a promising young girl. As she got older, she lost the drive that she once had. This caused a stagnation in the growth of the Evil.
Even when Vie joined the La Family, she truly did not gain what she lost. Now after so long, she found Rex the beast and the man whom she truly cared for.
In order to fully care for him, she also has to let go of her past. The ability to let go of the past is truly hard. If it is from other people shaming, cursing, or not caring about the change. Even someone powerful cannot truly let their past get away from then.
A bright light flashed before La Vie's eyes. She was inside a black room. A moment in time frozen while the Karma Tests were going on. She felt afraid of whatever could do this.
"Darling, I am a part of the Karma Tests. I need a favor." A sweet yet firm voice echoed throughout the room.
"First, I am not your darling. Second, why do you need a favor?" She instantly replied angry.
She was not angered by the fact that she could not sense where she was at. She was angered by the fact that the Karma Tests needed something from her.
"Oh nothing much. I just need control of your body for five minutes." The voice echoed.
She felt that something was wrong, very wrong. She understood that the Evil inside of her should prevent this. Yet, here was a being truly able to live past those restrictions.
"What kind of favor do you need with my body?" She replied.
"I have to test Rex. You can either willingly help me with your body or I can completely control your body." The voice echoed.
La Vie decided to trust the voice just this once. She willingly allowed her body to be controlled. Yet, the next couple of minutes were her worst nightmare brought to life.
A dark and evil sensation burst out of La Vie. She began to attack Rex. Each attack meant to either harm Rex or cripple him forever.
La Vie could not fight to gain control of her body. She had willingly gave up the control for five minutes.
She began to cry desperately. Trying to find anything and everything that she could to break free of this control. Yet, the Evil inside her was happy.
Something that makes joy and happiness come out of people are usually stuff that makes life enjoyable. While La Vie was struggling to do anything. The Evil smiled like he had finally found a clue.
As the group watched in horror as La Vie was able to nearly cripple Rex several times. Rex was not allowing himself to actually hurt her.
He could tell something was off about this part of the test. While the Evil inside of La Vie rejoiced at the body's attempt to hurt Rex. The Evil was also afraid because Rex had not been going all out. So it decided to give a little help. Using the power deep within itself, another body started to form.
The continuation of blows and blocks continued for several minutes. Here was something that no one could even know of. A new being was being burned. One that could fight Rex equally and have all the power and Qi that Rex controls while having a new Evil being formed.
This Evil was something that could change the Mortal Realm. Yet, at this moment, nothing seemed to be different and the five minutes were up.
"Why?" La Vie cried.
The Evil deep within her called to her. She was desperately trying to find anything that could help.
"Help me please. I cannot hurt Rex nor could I bear the shame of knowing that I crippled the man whom I love." La Vie cried.
"Something precious is being born. This is a life worth living to see it born. However, if you do not wish for it to happen. I can Smite your Soul into oblivion.
I do not wish for that. I know that you do not wish for that. So just watch and feel for the moment of birth. Even you will be shocked."
La Vie was shocked but controlled herself for just a few more minutes.
