Once Iris had spoken to La Vie. La Vie decided to explain what happened.
"Master Rex decided that he wanted to see the destruction that he caused without anyone else intervening. Has it turns out, a miracle happened. Master Rex got informed of some great information from a higher being.
That being also noted the events surrounding the War God. So we have fully appreciated that and before Master Rex could gently smile. He fell asleep and nearly fell into the magma.
So I gently carried him and took out this small bed from my storage ring and laid us down. I made sure that he was comfortable first before laying down myself. To ensure not only his safety but all of our safety, I placed several beacons around to awake me before any trouble comes." La Vie said clearly and without any fault.
"Well, that at least solved half of the problem. The half I am missing is why did you sleep with him when we already were protected by you?" Iris questioned.
La Vie replied, "This is technically our bed now. So I shared my bed with Master Rex. Is there any wrong in that?"
Iris was wanting to immediately slap La Vie. Instead she decided to hold her accountable.
"For now on, before you sleep with Rex. You have to make sure that we are prepared for it. Waking up like this is not a good sign nor a sign that you want to deal with." Iris angrily growled.
La Vie nodded. She made sure to take notes on the attitude of Iris for now on. Liz was generally more relaxed about this. The reason being is that she had a Battle Maid when she was younger.
They typically sleep with their Master. On very rare occasions do they enjoy a life of peace with their Master. It just so happened that the Battle Maid died while protecting Liz. No one knows who the assailant was but it was better for the Battle Maid to die than Liz.
"Iris, calm down. There are things that you do not need to know about the Battle Maids. So for now, just be lenient and give her the curiosity that she needs." Liz spoke.
The entire temple seemed to grow wild with anger. This was the amount between Iris and Violet. Neither one knew a lot but they knew enough to know that something was wrong with Liz.
"Why should we?" Iris and Liz both stormed towards Liz.
"I was protected by one." Liz answered.
The atmosphere shifted from almost pure rage to a dead silent. No one wanted to hear anything about those words.
Why? That shows how powerful they can be. It also shows the loyalty of the Battle Maids. Even if the answer is the wrong answer, they will still be there.
The War God felt that this was truly a calling to her. Someone loyal to a Master is someone worth having around. Not only that, she could also get her daughters some protection as well.
Before anyone could say anything. Rex began to yawn and stretch. He felt that the bed was not good but it was better than sleeping on the ground.
When he noticed that everyone else was awake. He gently rolled over and stretched as far as he could. He felt the pops as he stretched from laying on the unusual bed.
"Good morning." He said.
"Good morning, Master." La Vie was the first to speak.
Rex gently patted her head.
"Good morning, honey." Violet darted into his embrace.
"Good morning, Violet."
Iris and Liz both walked over and hugged his sides.
"Good Morning Dear." They both said in unison.
The amount of pain the daughters went through when they saw the duo hug and words spoken were heartbreaking to see.
"My daughters, one day you two will be able to at least stand his presence like this." War God thought.
She walked over to Rex. She bowed and wanted the words to come out of her mouth. She could not get her words to come out.
"War God, when we advance into the Sixth Realm. You will have to help me. This will determine how your Karma is affected. I will not say either way but know this. Whatever you believe is right, you follow that. I will not force you to become my Battle Maid nor will Karma force you. If you want to leave, you will leave and whatever Karma follows, follows." Rex let the words sink in as he slowly spoke.
War God felt that this was for the best. Until she felt that the words he spoke were not all truth. Yet, he believed those words and that became his truth.
"I hope I am overthinking." She thought.
"Ladies, we now have a New Realm to go to. Make sure everything is prepared for our departure. When the next morning sun rises, we will be in the Sixth Realm, the Forest Realm created by Violet's father, Life-giver. Also, do we still have enough camping stuff for when we enter or do we need to contact Lilith and have a few backpacks brought?" Rex asked.
Everyone but Rex began searching. Why not Rex? Because he got forced to sit down. So that way, everything can be sorted and redirected rather by personal things or sharable things.
The women all got everything down packed and ready to go. Before they could fully declare it. Lilith showed up and brought a new demonic invention.
This was no surprise to Rex because he thought that they were almost done with the prototype when he first came into the game.
"Behold, what the demons call 'Air Strike'." Lilith declared.
This prototype looked like a saucer head with the components to nuke Sects easily with. Even more so than that, it also had the ability to go into the Stairway unaffected. Something that the game did not mention or was not available. Yes, this was for players who went to the Dark Side and joined Demons or those who got hurt so bad that becoming a Demon in the game was better.
"Seems like a new ride is in store." Rex thought.
