Chapter 495 - Chapter 493 Trials

A stony cliff came in view of Maximum. He had to choose thr paths of Iris, his Wife, and Seishi.

"Iris." Maximum said.

He knew this should be the easiest trial first. What came into view was five stony steps. Each step all looked completely solid.

"In this trial, choose to either go with all bad points of you being the father, all good points of you being a father, or choose to mix and figure out which step is which."

Maximum chose option three.

"You will encounter a vision. Your first goal is to figure out if the vision relates to you being a good father or a bad father. Once that is chosen, you then have to tell why that point came into view."

Maximum swallowed hard because this could be a double edged sword. If he encounters the time when he told Iris to marry Rex and the reasoning why. Would that be considered him being a good father or a bad father?

Sure the outcome is good, but what about then and there. What did Iris think?

Maximum jumped to the first stone. That was indeed the first vision he encountered. He cursed himself internally because of that.

As he sat down and felt the waves of emotions going through him. He watched Iris closely, he could not see anything different than what he remembered.

Once the vision ended, "Are you a good father or a bad father?"

"What point makes you say that in the vision?"

As Maximum closed his eyes, he spoke of when he first called Iris to his side. The entire scene would not have happened either way.

The voice echoed, "Sorry, having to give an answer outside of the vision itself is not required nor the correct answer. Please speak of something inside the vision."

Maximum sighed and thought hard again.

He began to realize that either way, he would forever be held accountable for this action.

"The time that I told Iris to become Rex's wife is the answer to what kind of father I am."

A momentary pause happened.

"What is the answer for if you are a good father or a bad father?"

Maximum just guessed, "Good father."

"Please proceed to the next stone."

The vision of the stony steps and the cliff came back into view.

Maximum continued to move forward.

He saw different visions of when Iris was happy about things that had happened. Maximum gave his answers.

When he finally got done he got told, "Part one of three of your trials is done. Success and/or failures will be told when all trials are done."

Maximum chose his wife next. He knew that only one vision would truly be a good vision. That would be the time that she got pregnant and Iris's birth.

When he began the trial, he had eight steps to go through. When he did the first one, it was about the time that Iris's mother got pregnant.

Once that was done, the next stone was about Iris's birth. Maximum gave the answers that he honestly could.

As for the rest of the trials, even Maximum himself felt that they were either too hard or had too much impact on a not caring scale to affect him personally but it affected the relationship.

After spending an extra four hours here, Maximum finally got done with the second part of his trial.

When he looked at the third one. He felt that there were too many moments to affect their relationship. When he truly got his mind set straight. He continued forward.

Of course the first vision he saw here was her death. He had to relive being extremely weak and going against a bandit gang.

He fought tooth and nail to keep Seishi safe only to remember the arrow that forever made him give his all in every fight.

When it pierced through Seishi. Maximum burned his Qi to release every physical attack he could.

He also increased his Sword Qi greatly during this time as well. By burning his Qi and using it to form an extra layer on top of his sword.

The bandits started to lead Maximum away but he remained within three meters of Seishi. He unleased attack after attack. Slaughtering all manner of flesh of the bandits.

When he turned around, he saw a happy smile on Seishi's face. Then it turned over dead. Maximum quickly darted and felt her pulse. There was none.

"Did the action of trying to slaughter all the bandits make you a good friend and future husband or a bad friend and horrible husband?"

Maximum closed his eyes and said, "Protecting her made me a good friend, allowing her to die without getting helping her was the actions of a blind and stupid man." Maximum said.

"Correction. You have just claimed to have both answers inside one. This should be changed, if you do not there will be a chance that you fail here."

Maximum nodded his head.

He slowly went through almost thirty moments between him and Seishi before the trial was completed.
