"If you do not mind, share the story of how you ended up on the world with the Dark Abyss." Rex asked.
"That is not a problem. The problem is that my memories long before the time I entered the Abyssal World is currently sealed within the place I was. Also, my name is sealed there as well. Any way to go back to the place I was has been forgotten and not sealed. Like someone forced me to forget." The fallen god said.
Rex nodded.
In a place where richest were not considered important, there lived several gods. Some of which were evil by nature, some were good, in the midst of those there were ones competing for higher rank while others were just glad to be there.
While the competitions for the gods to increase were going on. Other gods approached me and said, "Weak God. You have the nerve to remain idle while others disgrace you. Have you no shame?"
"My only shame is that I allowed you all to enter while trying to slander me."
A tension grew. The group left.
Within a week, my name was spoken badly. A Weak God who has no idea how powerful people were.
I got forced into a battle. I went against tens of other gods. I quickly defeated even the greatest of battle gods. My battle prowess was superb, that was even without my spear.
After my victory, I left. I had no joy in fighting, causing bloodshed, nor increasing my current strength.
A bet was placed on me by the higher gods. A bet where I would win, but my Spear would be the place where my Soul would be sealed until someone rescued me.
In the Abyssal World, six gods were the top of the grade. The Dark Abyss, the Will of the Abyss, and the Being of Slaughter. You met those three in the tournament.
The other three were killed by me. The Will of the Abyss physically could and will not fight unless all the gods die in the Abyssal World. He can intervene if the death of a god would result in a disaster.
I had to face the other three gods. Those three were weak. A simple punch from you would have also killed them. Gods this weak? Seems impossible to hear but that is the truth.
When the three died, I felt pity. I already disliked bloodshed and killing. I had not even tried to kill them but I did. The Will of the Abyss appeared in person.
Eyes that seemed more like a predator's, the distant facial features that would cause evil to look good, the aura to make even Demon Gods cower, and the clothing to make even the most strict cultists to look plain.
This was the top of the chain. He appeared before me. The Will of the Abyss simply asked, "Why did you fight?"
I frowned at the sight.
"I got betted on to win." Even the sorrow could be felt in the words.
"It seems like you dislike fighting. Why?"
"Fighting makes people either get discouraged or lose the will to continue to get stronger."
A sinister laughter rang throughout the Abyssal World. Even more it rang throughout the place where I was living.
"Tell me mere mortals, does this young lad actually have the power to reshape the upper Realms?"
The gods did not like being called mere mortals. They came to face the Will of the Abyss. He decided to make a statement that would forever shake the foundation of that realm.
"If you win against my new lad, you will have the opportunity to face me. If you lose, you have to pledge yourself to me."
The gods in attendance all looked at me and returned. I felt betrayed but more than that I felt hopeless. No one would want to face me.
A single friend came to me. He handed me my spear.
"My friend, I can offer you a chance to be stronger or to be one with your spear? I can only do one. I will offer my life to do so."
I was stunned at the friend. There should not have been anyone able to do that except for the top tier gods.
"My friend, I wish to be stronger." I replied.
To my astonishment, the power he used was a magical wish. Whatever he wanted to come to realization, he had to offer a price. When asking about me, he had to offer his life.
I did not know until he said the words, " Magically wish of the grandest order, I want my friend holding the Spear of Odjun to become stronger as per his request."
When he finished the sentence, his glow from being a god faded, my glow became thrice as strong.
I wept at the sight of my friend offering his life to make me stronger. More than that, I wept that I would no longer be the same.
Once the final glow from his body faded. He became dust on the Abyssal World. I went off the explore the world of the Abyss. I got called to fight several times. My mind was still not on fighting.
A day where the Dark Abyss nearly lost the fight came. Three grand gods came down to tackle the Abyssal World.
There I appeared and the last two grand gods came rushing towards me. I felt the anger of losing my friend in such a way, that I had to fight.
A single push of my spear went up. Forcing the two grand gods to be killed. I continued not being there. The most powerful of the grand gods came next to me.
"We were fighting for you. Look at what you have done." The grand god said.
I replied, "Where were you when I did not want to fight here on the Abyssal World? Where were you when I needed the ability to become strong and be weak against fighting? Where were you when I accidentally killed three of the gods reigning here?" I cried.
The Will of the Abyss had different plans. He wanted to kill the last grand god. I stopped him.The two of us fought for ten minutes becoming a stalemate.
The last thread of my hope had already been cut. Part of that thread got caught up in the Abyssal World. Since I had already spent so time down in the Abyssal World. My bat like wings had already surfaced. Once the thread of hope reached the Abyssal World, I grew two more sets of wings. My pearly white wings regrew and my black featherly wings also grew.
Since I could not fall completely, I had to resign being just a fallen god. A god whose presence would only reach the gates of the realm never able to return there.
Once my return failed, I got fused with the Spear of Odjun.
