Rex smiled wryly as he sat down for breakfast. Eyes of intense love, anger, and jealousy stared at Rex sitting down. Before any person could start to eat.
"Nine Tailed Queen, you and I will meet the calamity in Ophiuchus's mountains. Sometime soon, we will have a massive celebration that we as the entire city will celebrate. Everyone make sure that we are prepared for when the celebration starts." Rex stated.
Everyone rolled their eyes. They were expecting a special celebration but hearing Rex say it made them upset.
Breakfast got ate and the trio of Bella, Rex, and the Nine Tailed Queen left to visit the calamity.
When the trio made it to the mountains. A slight howl entered the ears of Rex and the Nine Tailed Queen. This howl was like when the Nine Tailed Queen had been waiting for Rex.
When the trio entered the middle of the mountains. A black version of the Nine Tailed Queen was present and had a pleasant smile on its face.
"So I have only one question." Rex said and moved closer.
The calamity waited for Rex to land. The Nine Tailed Queen felt that the calamity was acting just like her. This was quite upsetting.
When Rex landed, he looked the calamity start in the eyes.
"Can you physically have children like her?"
This question shocked both Bella and the Nine Tailed Queen. They were trying to figure out why he would ask such a question.
"I can only mate with the one that the current Nine Tailed Fox mates with. As for children, that is up to whoever commands me. So since you command me, would you let me bear children?" The calamity asked.
Rex sighed. He was not truly ready to hear what she said.
The Nine Tailed Queen felt her Soul become angered. She was not ready to see or hear the fact that Rex had to be the one to do it with someone who looked like her.
Bella was worried about how the others would react. She knew her spot and worrying too much about this currently was bad. So instead, she wanted to go down and ask a question.
"Nine Tailed Calamity, can I ask a question?" Bella politely asked.
"You can ask away, dear maid." The calamity replied.
Only the Nine Tailed Queen knew why she did answered like this. This answer came from the calamity searching the Nine Tailed Queen's mind.
"This will have to change in the future." The Nine Tailed Queen thought.
The Nine Tailed Queen decided to speak up before Bella could. Bella got moved behind the Nine Tailed Queen. The Nine Tailed Queen put her hand on Bella's mouth when she got moved.
Bella was worried that the Nine Tailed Queen had something major to speak about. Even Rex was worried about the Nine Tailed Queen when she moved Bella.
"Although, you and I are similar and connected by someway. I do not wish to constantly have my mind and emotions searched by you." The Nine Tailed Queen demanded.
"We are not connected but I am a shadow of you. Since I am basically you in a shadow form, I guess I am the Shadow Nine Tailed Fox." She giggled.
This surprised the Nine Tailed Queen but Bella. This meant that somewhere a shadow of Rex was out there. Since Rex was already worried about another calamity.
"What are the chances that another calamity will happen with those shadows?" The Nine Tailed Queen asked.
"Very much so. The main one running the shadows there is basically him." The Nine Tailed Calamity replied.
Rex knew that he had to get more Realm levels under his belt. With that, also he had to perfect not only his battle prowess but also the Qi foundation.
Bella moved back up front and asked, "Will the children be shadows or actual flesh and blood?"
This shocked all the surrounding people. Bella was worried about something that was not even a consideration right now.
"Honestly, it depends if he can penetrant the shadows covering my womb with his seed. That is not the only thing, it also depends of my shadows cover the seed to make it a shadow."
Hearing the news, Bella was actually sad. She did not want to know what the shadows could do. She was more worried about the children that Rex would have to actually do it without any backup.
The Nine Tailed Queen also felt that the news was heartbreaking. If the children came out in shadows, then who knows how the children would act. The worst part being that all control is also dangerous. Only a little crack in that control would be devastating to every Realm.
With the news affecting the two woken. Rex felt that they needed to be the ones to explain the situation to everyone else.
"Alright. We have a plan to celebrate in the city. Also I have to spend a day with her. So once we have a meet up on a day. The other women in my life will come to let you know." Rex replied.
The women began to do small talk. Rex talked with the dragons in the mountains. When the small talk ended, Rex went back with a smiling face and a wave to the dragons.
The trio began to walk about slowly. Each step a slow and steady. With Rex holding hands with both of the women. The walk back was awkward.
No one was speaking about anything. Once the group walked out of the mountains.
"Rex, please wait." The Nine Tailed Queen asked.
Rex stopped which made the other two stop.
"I want to know. Do you think that having those children will be of any benefit?" The Nine Tailed Queen pleaded.
Rex brought her closer in for a hug. He held her as he spoke.
"Honestly, I have no idea. I would like for one to be born to see if any of them would be of any use. If it is not of any use, we will have to bear the consequences of that decision. I hate to say it but I do not think I could physically kill my own child. Which is why I do not know which path to take." Rex replied honestly.
This shocked the women. They were honestly hoping for a better answer from Rex. This was also the answer that they needed for themselves.
"Well, when you and I have a child. I hope to teach her the right path so that you do not have to worry about having to kill or hear about your child dying for any reason." Bella replied hugging Rex's side.
The trio sat down and let the wind blow away their tears and sadness until the sunset.
