Three major kingdoms heard the news of war. A small kingdom trying to gain favor with them also heard the news. They were the kingdom that suffered the most. Most of who all was left were women and children.
The king went to the front gate. All the women and children followed. A few of the special guards for the king were left. Not a single person from the other three kingdoms were inside.
"I want to apologize to each and everyone of one personally and publicly. For the other kingdoms who were offering extra land for us. Have all turned their backs when we offered every single person we could."
The king knew had hard the news had already affected the families.
"I do not know how the single cultivator can stand against the other kingdoms. I will offer my head in exchange for all of your safety."
The king knew that this was the only thing he could personally do.
"I am proud to have been selected not only as friends and family to most of you, but to be a lowly man on a throne. I have tried my best to move this city and the villages forward. It appears that I got blind sighted by having three major kingdoms attacking us at once."
The king felt that this city needed to know the truth.
"When the tike comes for my head to come off. I wish that each and everyone of you smile. I do not wish to see tears of sadness and sorrow but of happiness and joy. So that I know that everything I did was for the right reason."
The king bowed his head.
His three wives came dashing out of the castle. They were not told of the announcement plan until he had begun speaking. The three women were heartbroken because they were pregnant with his child(ren). They did not want him to die before seeing his unborn child.
The news that the three major kingdoms fell spread quickly. The aftermath of Rex's march made even the Sects backing the three kingdoms sick.
Rex finally heard news that a small kingdom who did not have any cultivators in it participated in the war. This made Rex feel bad. Since they had joined in the war, Rex was not going to cause them to be slaughtered by his own hands.
An announcement was made by Rex. He would take one thousand members to take control of a small kingdom that threatened them.
A thousand people armed and ready to kill came up.
"We do not know of there are any cultivators in that kingdom. We will slowly accept any and all people who wish to join the City of Eden. Their life will not be grand. The women will join any family and allow the male to do as they wish with their body. As for the men, they will sleep by the wall and help build it. Once it is complete and there have been no incidents with that man. They can join the family where his wife is as a butler and watch as his wife is used."
The people agreed.
"Let us go." Rex said.
News that one thousand cultivating Beastmen were marching to the small kingdom made headline news. The Sects wanted to help but knew there was nothing that could stop the massacre from happening.
The Sects decided to wait and see what would happen to the small kingdom.
The small kingdom had six villages. Each one responsible for a different harvest for the entire kingdom. Rex saw the fields and decided to have his people walk in a straight lime where the path was already formed.
He was not trying to become an enemy but would do so if desired by the small kingdom.
When the army reached the small village. The men already had their hands raised. Their were only two women in the entire village. Both of them being elderly and unable to do much.
So Rex asked, "Do you wish to see the end of the war that your kingdom caused or do you wish to die? I am not an evil man by any means but I will repay war with war because my family is what I hold dear."
The women thought of their king when Rex was saying this.
"I wish to tell our king what you have said. Please allow the men to carry us to the capital so we can." Both of the elderly women replied happily.
When Rex rejoined his army, "My people. We arrived here and did not see any man, woman, or child here in this village. So we must assume that they heard of our arrival and went to seek refuge in the capital."
Tears fell from the men. They knew that the women in the village had said something to Rex.
The tears made the Beastmen understand that a major thing had been said. The army began to walk on the path continuing to the next village instead of the capital.
The women told the men to hurry to the capital. They did not want this chance for their king to die in a lowly manner.
That night, the first village entered the capital. The elderly women entered the palace and the king was nervous. He prayed that nothing bad was happening.
"Please tell me how is everything going?" The king wanted to plead.
"Better than expected." The first elderly woman said.
The king was surprised.
"The man leading the City of Eden is just like you." The other woman said.
Tears fell down from the king's face.
Rex entered the palace. The guards knew who Rex was and feared for their life.
Rex and the king met face to face.
"My army is hungry. So the fields that we are by will fill their stomachs tomorrow. Any other village that we enter and their is any person left will be left to rot. This is to prepare them for something major coming to the Third Realm. I am glad to have such a promising time to see what happens."
Rex left and the king made sure to send people to the other villages and have them hurry back to the capital.
