Once Rex had left the miners to their recovery. Rex continued his path of helping families in the Fourth Realm. He came across a small town that was barely making it. He did not remember this town.
When he asked the name of the town. No one knew what the name was. Not a single person ever visited them. Being such outcasts, Rex decided to help them build anew.
"Tomorrow we start building a brand new town." Rex said.
No one was really thrilled with building a new town. It was better to give it a chance than not to.
Most of everyone was on their last little amount of food and Qi Stones. Rex went back to the previous town to talk to the ruler in private.
Forging an agreement, Rex went back to the town before sunrise. He started to cut trees for logs. He first started with the major building, the storage room.
Although this should have been the second building. Rex had seen that this building was truly outdated and needed a new building built.
Rex immediately started to piece together the storage building. It was too wide to be inside the small town. Rex decided to place it shortly outside.
"I got to thank that ruler for sending Builders out this way." Rex thought.
While he was working on the new storage building. Everyone began looking for Rex. A couple saw new logs outside the worn out wall.
People started to go towards the new logs. Rex placed another log on the outside. The length was six logs together. The width was two logs. Since Rex could not just set logs together and make them stay. He used several smaller trees to form the braces and how tall the storage building was.
With the corners done by lunch, the builders showed up from the town.
"This town is getting built anew. Make sure to expand the walls to include these two fields. If the wall gets done before I get done. Come help me finish here then start the inside of the town." Rex commanded.
"Yes Sir." The builders replied.
Rex continued to build the storage building throughout the night and into the next day. When he finally finished the outside. The townsfolk were astoundished by the looks.
"Such a building can be built." People said left and right.
This was the inside of it. Rows of wooden shelves attached to the walls on the right side. Most of it was for bags, there could be some fresh store by hanging it across the gutters. Rex had some rope that he gave to the town. He used that and tied it to the gutters.
When the townsfolk looked at the left side. Grinders and tools for the crops to be harvested. With so much old stuff looking new, the townsfolk did not know what to say.
Rex led them to the builders. He did not need the thanking. The townsfolk used everything they had currently stored to do a party for Rex and the builders.
Rex did not stay to enjoy the party. This made the townsfolk sad. What was the point of building something partway when one would not finish it.
Another man defended Rex. This shocked the townsfolk. Without any warning the man declared, "That building is worth more to us than our lives. If we lose that, we lose what holds us together and we will not survive."
The townsfolk realized the man was telling the truth. It still upset them that Rex left. The townsfolk named the building King's Storage.
So the town decided to go with the theme and name the town, King's Town.
They made sure to help the builders build a good wall. It might be weak currently. Since a king came and helped them. They felt the need to make the town in his honor to always stand the test of time.
By the time the miners recovered. The King's Town had been built. Everyone was pleased with how pretty the town now looked.
Flowers decorated every house. The town even made a wooden flower with a crown on it. Just to show how much the name King meant to this town.
Outside every business was a sign with the name King's (fill in for the store). Every business was built to look like a crown and was faced towards the center.
The main building in the town was built to look like Rex who was sharing his love and mercy to others.
No one else could understand what the building meant. To outsiders the building looked like a guardian who was ready to defend the town.
Slowly over the years, the King's Town became famous. It became one of the widest known places in the Nine Mortal Realms.
Even though Rex never once visited the town again. Building the storage building gave a singular person the will to stand up for him.
The man barely lasted to see the full growth of the town. People felt bad because he had argued with them in defending the town.
When the man finally passed away. The town grieved. It grieved for Rex and the man. Neither one would ever be able to see the town.
Below the building of Rex. People began to build a catacombs. This was going to be for every person who had a major role in the town.
The man's body was protected until it could be placed in the underground catacombs. Once the funeral was held. The entire town shut down. Only the guards on current gate duty could not attend.
That did not mean they did not get any help and seeing the funeral. The town made sure to host the funeral at noon. Since this was break time for everyone.
Only citizens could enter through a door. When the funeral was done, everyone went to their positions on gate duty with tears.
The people waiting in line got to hear the details of how two men changed the town into what it currently was.
Even the people in line barely entered. They started to build shelters on the outside in the man's honor who heard the story.
