A demonic roar vibrated throughout the Realms. There was no Realm that was not affected by it.
The Heavenly Realm all knew that Rex was about to do something extremely dangerous. The Demonic Realm wanted to prepare for war. The Mortal Realm felt fear.
A surge of Demonic Qi flooded the Third Realm. Everyone and everything began to bow in servitude, expect for the city that Rex was in.
The city was busy with dancing and preparing for the Nine Tailed Fox's leave. As for the Angelic Builders, they were busy with finishing a section of the wall behind the Foxmen Tribe.
The massive thunderbolt hit Rex. A surge of Heavenly Qi filled the Third Realm. A clash of Demonic and Heavenly Qi began to cause the black thunderstrikes to turn yellow.
The tree that Rex made was nearly destroyed when the thunderstrike hit him. As Rex was pushed down, he wiggled himself upstraight. Using the bits of the tree to raise his arms up, he finally stopped the thunderstrike.
Rex's Demon King of Annihilation form was present in front of the Nine Tailed Fox. She felt fear from the depths of her Soul.
Iris, Liz, Violet, Margaret, and Amber all made sure the foxes kept dancing for Rex. They knew this form was coming and kept the foxes busy so they did not know.
Rex opened his mouth and allowed the Heavenly Thunder Qi to fill his veins. He had to absorb whatever he could to stop the thunderstrike from hurting the foxes.
The more Rex absorbed, the more Qi the thunderstrike got. Rex was about to fall when he felt electricity flowing through his veins.
A notification appeared in front of Rex.
"Due to the Host absorbing the Heavenly Thunderstrike at Maximum Strike. The Heavenly Thunder Demon King of Annihilation is available as an upgrade to your current Demon King of Annihilation. Does Host wish to upgrade this state?"
[Y/N]
Rex thought of Yes.
"Due to Host's decision. Please do not pass out. Otherwise, the upgrade will fail and the foxes will be seriously damaged just by failing to stay conscious."
A face filled with agony could be seen on Rex's. The Thunder Qi upgrade was no joke. He had to stay wake when his body was already broken and the Heavenly Thunder Qi made him exhausted.
While he felt exhausted, he got a glimpse of the dancing foxes. Their happy dancing filled Rex with vigor. He stood his ground and felt weaker by the second.
He held his chest out. Rex took a deep breath and absorbed more of the Heavenly Thunder Qi.
Yellow discharges could been seen exiting Rex's body. The more discharge that exited, the more Rex felt in agony.
While the Nine Tailed Fox wanted to get close to Rex. She knew that he was doing everything in his power to help her and her family. She vowed silently to spend every moment by his side when this ended.
The next moment, there were no more discharge from Rex's body. The black thunderstrike slowly began to fade away.
The thunderstrike faded and the cloud began to dissipate. The Nine Tailed Fox went over to Rex. A new roar came from Rex.
The Nine Tailed Fox felt Heavenly Qi from that roar. That was because it resonated with her Heavenly Qi. The Heavenly Guard and Heavenly Soldier both came into the training center.
In the midst of it were dancing foxes who did not want to stop. Their proud dances sent shockwaves through the duo. Heavenly Qi naturally came out of the dances. That shocked the both of them the most.
The Nine Tailed Fox slowly approached Rex. She felt afraid being this close to a being that could kill her. A glance from Rex turned her into a scared Fox. She honestly could not move due to her fear.
Rex took two steps closer to her. She felt the need to take a single step forward. Closing her eyes, she knew that she was done for now.
What she did not expect was a gentle hug from Rex. Rex began to fall from being exhausted.
She held Rex up. Rex's weight increased dramatically in this form. The Nine Tailed Fox felt that she was about to fall over. In the last moments, the Heavenly Guard and Heavenly Soldier both helped support Rex.
The Nine Tailed Fox got a breath and the trio tried to move Rex. He was too big and heavy for the trio.
"This is what happens when a being absorbs too much Heavenly Qi." The Heavenly Soldier said.
Before the Nine Tailed Fox could reply.
"Not only that, he also absorbed the Heavenly Tribulation in the Black Thunder. That is super dense in Heavenly Qi. Hopefully, he will not have to always go through the Black Thunder Tribulation in the Heavenly Realm." The Heavenly Guard said.
The Nine Tailed Fox could not believe that the man she chose absorbed such Heavenly Qi.
In the minute that the trio waited. Rex became heavier. This made the trio frown because if Rex fell over. He could lose his ability to cultivate at best.
Suddenly, a large amount of Demonic Qi could be felt inside the city. Demons came to help support their King.
Lilith knew the roar that Rex did. She summoned every available demon she could instantly and the Demon God also helped in that.
Cheers of praise could be heard inside the city. These were the demons that could not help their King. They were cheering because the foxes boosted their morale and strength.
"Such a man worthy of praise." Lilith thought as she glimpsed at the city.
There were not many places to see but the fact of it looked majestic. She wanted Rex to see the city from her view.
Once Rex was placed on his bed, the demons roared for their King's safe recovery. They left within thirty minutes of entering the Third Realm.
"I want to stay by Rex's side." The Nine Tailed Fox told the Heavenly Guard and Heavenly Soldier.
"Yeah. Make sure he recovers good." The duo replied.
They exited the room. They would have stayed if it was their turn. Rex was not in the Heavenly Realm yet. Nor had he advanced there yet.
The Nine Tailed Fox gently slept next to Rex. The Heavenly Qi that she had helped Rex recover over the course of three days.
Even though he was not able to move at all. He woke up after midnight on day three.
